The senses of even an endeavouring transcendentalist can drag his mind away. Perceiving the sense objects triggers the imagination trapping the mind with desires. Even an advanced devotee may have bad thoughts but he does nothing about them, he drives away the bad thoughts by filling the mind with Krishna. Fall-down begins by contemplating the sense objects not by seeing or hearing them. But the process of fall-down can be stopped at any stage although the more we let it go on the more momentum it gathers and the more difficult it is to stop it. Thank you. Hare Krishna.

Hare Krishna Prabhuji. One falls away from spiritual level of consciousness to material level. What can we do? Actually there is a process by which we fall and also there is a process by which we can check our fall.We cannot suppress our imagination but we can direct our imagination spiritually. If we are angry, it is important to redirect our anger from sense objects and from the obstacles to sense gratification to things which are creating the desires for sense gratification i.e. mind and senses.

Durvasa Muni though a great yogi in sense control but his mind was not fixed on Krishna (mat para) At the same time Ambresh Maharaja had displayed all qualities of senses controlling and engaging in KC.

2.60 - 2.63 - Control Concentration Conquest 3 stages in self mastery. 2.60 - senses are strong to carry away the mind 2.61 - One who restrains his senses, keeping them under full control, and fixes his consciousness upon Me, is known as a man of steady intelligence. 2.62 - While thinking of objects of senses, one develops attachment for them, then lust develops and that arises anger. 2.63 - From anger, complete delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost one falls down again into the material pool.
