The man is outright bluffing and his bluff will go on to become a folklore!! Physically assaulting a trainee attracts an outright court-martial. According to this actor, not only he as civilian slapped the trainee but also the Brig their slapped the trainee. After revelation that this joker was not a uniformed officer that trainee must have replied to the civilian in kind!
