@Maina B I was thinking the same although if the oil is good and utensils are hygienic, it wouldn't be dangerous for health. Sometimes you can eat & enjoy the snacks. In Ayurveda it's mentioned we should not completely ignore oily food and taste that we are craving fo because it can be our body's signal. It's about taking care of our body & balance according to our prakriti overall diet seasonal change.

Taro root is popular in Malenadu. We depend on innumerable roots and tubers during monsoon. Residing in Bengaluru l grow roots and tubers in my garden. To be more precise, people residing in North Karnataka are not aware of casava.

@@user-gi4yx3wk8k You can stir fry casava and add spices to make it palatable, prepare curry, cutlet, rotti etc. Your query seems more of a questionnaire to children. Happy cooking.

@@vimalars7481 THIS IS NOT TARO or any variety of Colocasia.THIS IS TAPIOCA ( KAPPA..MARACHINI..POOLA..MARAVALLI ETC IN NEIGHBOURING STATES). Brought to India by CONGRESS AND POPULARISED BY COMMUNISTS DURING POST WORLDWAR II as a solution for rice shortage. The root was peeled and cut to small pieces and dried , or parboiled and dried ,for future use for its starch. Now used as vegetable or source of starch in textile industry. And it is used to make SABU DANA/ SAGO ( TAPIOCA GRANULES) used as HEALTH FOOD IN CHINA..JAPAN AND NORTH INDIA.PART OF FIVE STAR CUSINE Kappa and Fish. DIFFERENT VARIETY IF CHIPS ARE MADE..PROFESSIONALS CAN MAKE VERY LONG CHIPS IN PURE WHITE FINISH. ALWAYS FRY IN COCONUT OIL. USE FRESH TUBERS NOT DEHYDRATED BUT " MADE TO LOOK FRESH" BY VENDORS. BEWARE OF THE FACT THAT TAPIOCCA flour is sold as costly ARROWROOT POWDER and used even by big multinationals to make " THIN ARROW ROOT " BISCUITS, by using small letters ..Tapioca as ingredient. Fried tapioca scrapes is more crispy!!!
