Bhendichi Naralache Vatan Ghalun Amati Recipe
/ Okra
BHENDICHI AMTI
INGREDIENTS
8 small size ladyfingers
1 cup fresh coconut grated
1 tsp. dry red chillies
4 pods of garlic for the paste
2 pods of garlic crushed
Tamarind to the size of half a lemon
1 tbsp coriander seeds
5 black pepper corns
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
METHOD:
i. Grind the coconut, chillies, garlic, tamarind , pepper corns and the coriander seeds to a fine thick paste
ii. In a kadai heat the oil and add the crushed garlic once it turns golden add the ground paste and fry till the oil oozes out.
iii. Chop the ladyfinger 1" at length and add it to the above paste
iv. Add 1 cup of water and salt
V. Cover and cook till the ladyfingers are done
vi. Serve it hot with rice
