You should consider getting an S3121, you can program the 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 systems with it, trouble is finding it. Sometimes they'll pop up on ebay, though.

I saved this one. We had mice chew the wire between the keypad and the panel. The system was very staticky. The guy said I will not touch the old system and put in a whole new one. The new one did not work. We did not know the wire got chewed until he installed the new system. The new system is a Honeywell vista panel with keypad. I ask can I keep the old one and he said yes. I saved this system and it is up on the wall as a demonstration system.

I have bhs-1000b installed at my place, does anyone know what the sensor frequency that the system uses so I can buy the correct compatible wireless converter. Thank you.

I recently got an FBII Star XL4600 with keypad, strobe and door sensor. Long story short, the CPU is dead. Probably gonna get an XL2T or XL2P since the keypad can work with later panels.

Nice. I got this panel for our family business. We thought the keypad broke. They installed a new one because this one is 30 years old. Mice chewed the cable between the panel and keypad. They took it down. I asked to keep the old system. It will be used in the security system test series.

I have the same system with two keypads. Anyone know how to change system so that it doesn’t error when I only hookup 1 keypad?

The only way is to default the panel. I would not do it because you can’t reprogram the system without a special programming tool.
