Hi Dilip, Lhotsampas means southern Bhutanese, just like Sharchogpas means Eastern Bhutanese, Bumthangpa means Bhutanese from the Bumthang region etc etc. So there is no reason for you to feel "feel so sorry and sad" about Lhotsampas. It acknowledges they are very much Bhutanese and have regional designation just like all other Bhutanese.

Also how can I forget because when I visit Nepal some years back and I saw how Nepali people who were thrown from Bhutan faced so much pain and trouble for many years in the refugee camp.
