This is so beautiful!!!! Thank You. One question I have is do you apply the second coat to the whole wall then add the white or do it in sections? The reason I ask is because would the second coat be too dry by the time your applying the white? Thanks

That is killer, Ron! One of my favorites so far! Keep the content coming. So few plaster artists are making videos.

Ron, thank you so much for all of your videos. I stumbled across them today and have been binge watching all of your incredible techniques. You’re an extremely talented guy. What is surprising to me is that you are freely giving away tons of tricks and secrets. That makes it even more awesome because a regular joe like me can attempt world class paints without ever having stepped foot into a class room. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

Hey Ron, really love the look of this technique. The link for the Firmolux plaster tan shows the color as being the Benjamin Moore color BM1131 or Autumn Leaf. I picked up a paint swatch of that color and it is more of a Dark brown or Burnt Umber. The BM color Desert Tan looks much closer to the color of sample board after your first coat dried. I was going to order direct from Firmolux and was wondering if you happen to remember what the actual color name or color code you used?

Absolutely stunning! Obviously requires some substantial elbow grease..lol. How would I find out about other potential colors...perhaps a saggy green? Thanks for sharing your considerable talents!!

I’ve been practicing with a course marmorino similar to the Berlina that you use. I’m trying to get no texture but always end up with little pits of texture( tiny holes). What can I do to get a smooth kind of matte finish? Love your videos by the way. Thank you.
@RonaldLayman2 жыл бұрын
So after the second coat are you compressing the plaster with light to moderate pressure? If the pitting occurs after compressing and yiu want it smooth, dilute the marmorino into a slurry, brush the slurry on and trowel it to backfill the pits then compress

I’ll reevaluate what I’m doing on my next board and keep what you said in mind. I’ve just started this venture. I’m sure it has to do with my compressing. I just know if I ever wanted to top the KS with Gressello I’m going to want it smooth. I’ll keep the dilution thing In mind and keep practicing. Thanks for the reply

Beautiful! Love your videos and your work so much! Thank you for all you do. By the way, i subscribed numerous months ago and have never received notification of any new videos or the workshops you talk about. Would it be easier to unsubscribe then re-do it?

What do you mean tint with pigment never paint?
@anthonykurczewski83848 ай бұрын
Pigments are the colorants they add to titanium oxide base paints in Paint Stores. The pigments are straight color. No Mediums added, like paint. Depending on the product, and the base of the paint, as in Benjamin Moore Paints, the codes are base 1,2,3,4, tells you how much 'drier' is in the product to handle lighter or darker tints of color. The higher the number, the more pigment the paint can handle. Otherwise it will stay open virtually forever and never fully dry.
