最後の赤い枝ですが、皮は向かない方かいいかと思います。枝は皮を向くとひび割れが生じます。完全に乾ききるまでは皮付きで倉庫保管かよいかと。芯を含んだまま使うのならば小口にボンドか和紙を貼ると皮を剥いても割れにくいです。

Nice work. But the original blade was well designed as the blade was kept away from the handle. The new handle is heavily curved and difficult to use. As can be seen, one has to hold the handle close to the blade. Work per se is good.
