Great video. The details are amazing. I am going to use this method to upgrade my Bosch 2.5 inch single xenon headlights on an e46 coupe. The bi-xenon projector for Bosch headlights does not fit in the single xenon housing. The mounting holes for the projector are not the same and even if it is mounted the solenoid hits the igniter. I got a set of Bosch halogen headlights, the housings for both xenon and halogen are nearly identical. The xenon housing has an extra hole since the wires from the ballast go inside to the igniter, then from the igniter to the d2s bulb. The halogen housing even has the mountings for the original xenon ballast and igniter. I want to use a 3 inch H4 type d2s bi-xenon projector to make everything look factory from the outside but increase high beam output with the bi xenon function. Have you thought about installing bi-led projectors into the high beams, or would you consider that to be too much.

No problems at all man. Still holding up strong inside. Only problem I have now is the cheap Ebay lenses i bought. Faded pretty quickly and deteriorated after some bug guts got on them and caked on for a day. I’d recommend original BMW lenses as they seem to be made of better material and can hold up much better 👍👍

@@pythondon For sure. My 24 year old Bosh lenses still look pretty damn good just had to polish them. I went with quad projectors on mine. Got some good morimotos for low beams and some cheap amazon $30 projectors for high beams hehe.

Thanks for the luv brother 💪🏼 Honestly if you wanna make it louder start by removing the resonators! The exhaust has 3 square shaped resonators including the rear most one where the tips are. Keep that one, and remove the other two first. Muffler shop should be able to do this for cheap. That will be an easy nice loud mod for you!

What the brand on the bulbs? Can you link it . Have a xenon headlight stock bulb

if the xenon is not coded it won't work?

Correct, they will turn off flicker than go dark. Only once the car is coded to understand its got Xenons it wont work

@@pythondon thanks i was wondering why it lights up then turn off what if i use a bi-xenon control harness to power the solenoid then connect it to the high beam i've seen a bi-xenon hi/low plug and play control harness maybe it can bypass it

I Dont brother. There are only two steps to really get it done and the First one is all over youtube. Its tricky but I got it done. 1. Buy BMW Scanner 1.4.0 online. Get it installed to a windows 8 or 10 old laptop or computer. Learn through KZbin how to do this cause it is kinda tricky tbh. 2. Once downloaded connect the laptop to the car. Put key into Ignition 2. Find ZKE Page on BMW Scanner program and click boxes that say the car is bi xenon. Click “Write” and boom, car thinks there is Xenons and leaves the headlights alone.
