How to connect your phone to a Honda CRV - bluetooth pairing

This is a great video for how to connect the first phone you pair with your CR-V. However, it does not cover how to connect additional phones. I actually had to read my owner's manual for that -- now my head hurts. :-) To pair the phones after the first, you have to select "No" at the "Connect to a phone?" prompt, and then go into the "Connections" menu to "Add a New Phone".

To add or delete a phone to/from the Bluetooth, press the “PHONE” button and instead of hitting the “Yes” click the “No”. Once you do this you have to scroll down the the “Phone Setup” option. Once you press the “Phone Setup” you are going to press the “Connection “ choice and once you do that you have the options to delete or add a phone.

How to delete existing phone from car's bluetooth? When I try to connect it doesn't ask me if I want to add a new phone it asks if I would like to connect to a phone I hit yes and it shows two phones that are nowhere to be found. How can I fix this?

I did You would have to select the device that the car blue tooth finds and I believe after you press setup it will give you the option to delete it do it for every device that is not yours refresh it after and it should be it.

26 May 2017, I have an Australia Honda CRV just like the one above and a new Aspera F24 flip phone and although it is paired OK with the car it will not import the phonebook and so if I want to add speed dials it is a long job and although the system enables me to put numbers in I cannot understand how to add letters for names please explain as each number has two or three letters but I can't use them. Any clues about importing the phonebook please. I also have a Jazz with touch screen and it is just the same on that car,

No idea if you solved you problem after 4 years but I know the solution. Hit the phone button and when it asks you if you want to connect a phone hit no. Then it will bring you to a menu with the speed dial, scroll down and select the option to remove the phone.

I use a new style flip-phone with blue tooth. I have a Honda CR-V 2013. The guy at Honda set it up, but it was inside the building and everything sounds fuzzy. I'm thinking that's because it was set up inside a thick cement and metal structure. I want to delete the whole thing and start over again, but this time outside. Can that be my problem? Thanks.

You can delete the previous phone by pressing NO when it asks if you want to connect that phone and going down to System updates them delete the old phone. Once it's gone you can connect your phone.

Hi - I just got a 2013 crv and have the exact same problems as gene and john wrote below. The guy at the dealer tried to delete the phone and then reconnect it. Same problem - only about 20 of my contacts showed up in the phone book. Any suggestions? One of the guys at the dealer said he'd read / heard it was a technical issue with Samsung that they are working on??? thank you. It's great you and your dealership post these responses.

I just test drove a 2014 CRV and when I paired my Galaxy S3 to the care, my music player started playing and I was unable to make phone calls. Is there a way to have music playing through Bluetooth and still be able to make phone calls? I was able to make phone calls once I turned my music player off. If I have to use a USB connection for the music to stream, that's fine, but I want to make sure I'll be able to use the Bluetooth calling option even if I have music streaming from my phone.

Yes, we would recommend removing all previously paired phones from your vehicles system before pairing your own phone. Once your phone is paired to your vehicle, every time you enter your vehicle your phone will auto-connect to the radio. This is unless you have the bluetooth turned off on your phone.

I was really hoping this was a solution to my G3 problem with the 2013 crv...the minute I am connected to the car I loose all audio such as in navigation. Leaders so I’ve actually been using just a 3.5 mm audio chord and connecting it inside the console. It’s just more convenient for me and I found there was some lag with Bluetooth. So it’s been two years since I’ve tried to do this, but I will try again (I got a new phone anyway so might as well pair it) and I’ll share how I did it!
