Hello, which level is the bible study? Is it live and is it accessible for Australia Eastern Standard Time? Sorry for so many questions, but last one, I love how your channel is non-denominational, but what denomination are you? Thank you

What an interesting way to pull all the information together. Sometimes I get lost with everything that’s going on between the chapters. They only thing that bothers me is the use of the word characters. I know a lot of people use that word and this is something that hit me several years ago when the church I was attending had the children dress up as Bible “characters” for a Fall Festival. Characters makes it sound like a fiction book or a play. The Bible is about real people and real experiences. To call them characters takes away from that and takes away from making a human connection. It’s not a criticism, more food for thought. I think it’s just one of those things that’s been used for so long that people don’t think about it. Thank you for all the tips and guidance on how how to study the Bible.

This is interesting! I’ve never seen anything like it! (I just ordered an A5 book to keep my Bible notes and maybe Bible mapping!) I’m rereading Acts right now. I read a chapter and then watch a YT Bible study on it. I like Calvary Chapel NM with Skip Heitzig. I started my Christian walk at Harvest Christian Fellowship with Greg Laurie and Skip was a regular fill in for Greg. His Bible study’s are comprehensive and easy to follow. Thanks Faith! I love your videos & always am uplifted & learn something!

I’ve struggled with how to select a verse to map… I love the idea of catching those moments when you glaze over because you have no idea what you’re reading… That is so key. After all, we do want to understand the WHOLE Bible, not just those nice verses that we like.

Just found your channel and your videos have really been helpful because I used to bible journal a lot and I loved getting creative because it really helped grow my time and relationship with the Lord. But recently I have been struggling to get back into it because I've been making excuses about being busy, but now I'm inspired to get back into getting creative!

I just found a set of 4 pastel highlighters new at Dollar Tree that are even better than Mildliners inasmuch as bleed through. They do not have dual ends, but still a great buy. Another product I use that I believe goes with your style is the old Creative Memories plastic stencils for what they referred to as "journaling" and just stencils out of designs like hearts and other standard shapes. Some have lines which helps those of us with poor handwriting:-) These can be found on Ebay and Marketplace. Another product I am now using is the old rubber stamps which are unlimited sold by Stampin Up and can now be found online cheap and/or sold by the box full. Another idea I'd like to see you display is using napkins with gesso, which is another goal of mine. Thanks so much for sharing your gift of teaching.

New subscriber. I just finished teaching on the Book of Hosea for our Sunday School Bible study class. It was very in depth and I can’t put all my notes in my Bible, but I stumbled across this video and was excited to see this new to me method. I quickly made a chart/graph and now I feel like I can easily recall what we covered when I revisit the book of Hosea again in years to come. Thank you for sharing this!

I have just begun writing out one page of notes for each chapter I am reading. It’s awesome and now finding this is fantastic as I can now create this visual outline of what I have just studied. I’m wondering if you could do a little more on this? I have a little handle on it, but some more tutoring would be so helpful. Thank you so much for all your helpful teaching. I realise for years I’ve READ my Bible but never thought to ‘study’ it or even knew how to do that.

I really love this idea a lot. I do have a question though: Are you putting the "characters" as well as the themes on the chart as you go along? Is it more that you are wanting to see just how many times _____ is mentioned in that book or how often _____ is actually spoken of? I love this idea but I am curious how you choose who you are tracking or what "theme"? Thank you so much for your amazing videos.
@MM-jf1me2 жыл бұрын
In the video she mentioned that she only listed people who performed some kind of notable action. If Peter was just listed as part of a crowd she'd not put a mark next to his name, but if he was an active speaker or did some type of memorable action that she wanted to highlight as important she'd put a mark next to his name. That's just an example of how she might organize an overview of Acts. The great thing about this format is you can make it as simple or complex as you'd like. If you'd like to list everyone mentioned and map them out throughout the book that's cool, too: you might see an interesting pattern emerge that could lead you to explore and think about the book in a different way. As for themes: I think this mapping process would be most useful after reading the book through at least once in the recent past so it'll still be fresh on your mind. You can discover themes as you read it yourself or another idea may be to find some sort of study materials online that have the main themes listed and you can trace those through the book and add others if you notice them. It wouldn't be as neat and pretty as Faith's example, but you could also wing it and just make it up as you go along: list everyone mentioned and any main actions as they do them. You'll have a lot of extra info, but it might help you tease out main ideas and see where everyone is moving and what they're up to as the book progresses and you can always create a clean copy with the main points you want to remember afterwards. (This is probably going to be the way I go!)
