I have tried numerous times to read the Bible through and failed. Then I discovered Dr Grant Horner’s Bible reading plan. You don’t read it from cover to cover. (It is on most Bible apps and helped me to keep up with the readings.) It bounces around. Looks like your plan did as well. You end up reading some chapters about three times (Acts). It is not a 30 day plan. If you follow it exactly it is closer to a year plan. I am a note taker but I tried really hard not to take notes or it would have taken me twice the time. I would simply write down chapters or verses to my “questions list” and when I was done with the entire Bible, I went back to those chapters/verses. Reading it this way made me really want to read my Bible. I personally used the NLT. Had I been seriously studying I would use multiple translations. But for this I was not studying per se, I was reading to get the overall message and an understanding of the history, etc. I highly recommend his plan along with whatever translation works for you.

I really appreciate you sharing what has worked for you! I will check this out! On this plan - you actually do read every page! It's pretty awesome. I love that you are also a note taker. We have been meeting with my Women's Bible Study group and just going through our list of questions together. So interesting to see how each person processes differently! @@KitchenCounterCraftsOh, I wasn’t very clear. What I meant to say is you don’t read it sequentially the way it is printed. You end up reading the entire Bible, but because some books are shorter than others you will read them more, so you read the New Testament more times over the year. I just remember reading Acts more than other books. But it works. Looking back it seemed confusing at first but after a few days it was really enjoying it.

@@SilverSeaOT7 OH!!! Okay! Thank you for the clarification! 😊I have done this reading 2 years in a row now and the first time, we read the chronological as I stated. This year, I did not want to bounce back and forth - especially through the Psalms. It just triggered my ADHD something terrible! So we literally read straight through. I'm with you - chronologically, it felt like I was in 1 & 2 Kings and Chronicles for a whole week (we weren't but it sure felt that way) and I got bogged down. This time, we went through it and my understanding/comprehension was clearer because they were being covered as whole entire books & not just bits and pieces. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing how you did this. Are you going to try out the 30 days?
