Nonsense..You're misinforming on what Uthman actually did..Uthman, the third Caliph, oversaw the compilation of a standardized version of the Quran, ensuring consistency in the text. To prevent confusion caused by different Quranic versions, he ordered that all copies deviating from the standardized text be destroyed. Same thing as Biblical scholars eliminating certain books from the Bible..
@afiron485619 күн бұрын
@@harvey607 wrong. Nobody ever had full control of the 66 books of the Bible all to themselves, including the 27 of the New Testament as the death and supposed resurrection of Jesus spread so fast across the region…this is a historical fact given the rapid spreading of Christianity. Uthman on the other hand had a chance to corrupt the Quran and pick the version he wanted, which for all we know could have had significant changes to what Mohammad had in there. And yet it failed anyway since there are around 37 Arabic VERSIONS (not translations) of the Quran today. Warsh, Hafs, etc.

Amen! Continue to walk in faith, trusting the Lord and the Bible as your guide. I went from some pretty wild (empty, deceptive and destructive) beliefs to sound beliefs founded in biblical truth, just from studying and listening to God. I’m so greatful for the insight and wisdom God gives to my brothers and sisters. God has given us guidance from the Bible, and understanding by the Holy Spirit, for every area of life. Discernment and wisdom comes from God, just like love, hope and peace. We are called to test the spirits to see whether they are of God or not and that comes from studying the scriptures. There is a spirit of antichrist that denies the true Christ and puts on a great show and counterfeit in the name of religion. Humility is the key to learning/growing. Ask and trust that the LORD will guide you. He will lead you to a solid faithful gathering of believers. There are a lot of blind religious people. There are a lot of unlearned believers being destroyed because of their ignorance. There is a mission and a family. You have to be adopted first by trusting/believing in the true and saving gospel, which is that Christs work on the cross is complete payment for your soul and sin, and that he rose from the dead, defeating death, and offering eternal life to those who believe, acknowledging their sin and need of a savior. Because we have the stain of sin we can’t clean ourselves up. And because of that there is no work or deed that can earn or please God. Faith alone pleases God, and God uses that faith to work in us a new way, and that work then becomes evident to others around us. Many, like I did, strive to do good until realizing Roman’s 3:10, or maybe Isaiah 64:6 comes across their path. But then there’s Roman’s 5:8 to follow. True pure genuine hope and peace is what God gave me the moment I truly trusted Him. I pray you have received it, that God works in you mightily to bless and encourage those around you in your life. Every day, every opportunity, every interaction is a chance to bring honor to our Wonderful Heavenly Father. Forgive me for such a lengthy comment. Hope to see you around Jesus one of these days!

Iron sharpens iron my friend! Sounds like you're searching and HE (Yahweh) said if we seek HIM we will find HIM! Amen! I think sometimes HE wants to see the tenacity we have for HIS closeness and also for us to humble ourselves. Humility brings us so close to HIM!

@ you have to do your due diligence brother. Also. You have to read yourself. And yes. Those ppl will be judged accordingly. Read the Bible. Establish a realationship with our Lord. And He will guide you. I’m against those preachers like Joel olsteen. And TD Jake’s or whatever. If you know God. You will know he doesn’t call ppl to live like that. And if you listen to them. All they talk about is blessings and riches. That’s NOT what the Word of God is about. Nothing worldly. But also. Ya. We have to have discernment. The way we get that is by reading the Bible. But if you just listen to Wes Huff and there are others. They show the proof. It comes down to the fact of how bad you want to reject God. And yes there are so many terrible leaders of my Faith. And that’s called blasphemy. We can’t pick and choose what we want. Or what’s convenient for us. It’s black and white. No grey lines. I’m learning myself. I new. But the Lord will speak to you as you read the Bible. Just open it up randomly. And I guarantee that you will get something out of it even if it’s just one chapter that’s all it takes bro and then just pray and it’s all about having a relationship. The rest will come it’s it will be hard but the way too damn nation is a smooth paved road downhill the road to salvation. It’s a narrow windy Rocky Road is hard. There’s trials and tribulations, but this life is temporary we willdie and we will spend eternity either in heaven or hell if there’s any other way, I can help do not hesitate please I will just share what I know and what I think and we could look it up and hell maybe we could learn together, but this is what I’m here for is what we do.

Bart Ehrman has said, “There are more variations among our manuscripts than there are words in the New Testament”. This quote is from his book Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why. Ehrman's quote is based on the fact that there are thousands of manuscripts of the New Testament, and each manuscript has different readings, or variants. The New Testament has about 138,000 words, but there are around 500,000 variants across all the manuscripts. Ehrman has also said that the earliest manuscripts of the New Testament have more mistakes and differences than later ones. This is because the scribes who copied the New Testament in the earliest centuries were not as skilled or attentive as those who copied it later.
@davidvangroeningen7576Ай бұрын
True, and Bart Ehrman has also said that most of the variants don't affect anything significant, and that none of the essential Christian doctrines are affected by textual variants. Most of them are insignificant spelling differences.

@@rapmeister1000 I never said children understand quantum physics so I’m not sure who you’re arguing with.. @ and you completely missed the point of my saying Kermit, so I’ll say it again. He is a character developed for a children’s show. As such, he would not be found trying to explain quantum physics because those who understand it are not his audience. It’s not his lane. As religion, as well as many other topics he likes to speak on, are not Rogan’s lane; why does he find the need to do so when people interested in such topics are not his audience? It only proves that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Life has always gone on.

@@rapmeister1000 fortunately, we can read your original comment and see that’s not what you said. You never mentioned any target audience, you said Rogan is unqualified to talk about the Bible, just as unqualified as Kermit is at teaching quantum physics. I corrected you and said sure he can, Kermit is fake and only says what he’s programmed to say. Therefore he could easily teach a course on quantum physics or any other subject. If you want to change your original statement to say Kermit the Frog cant teach quantum physics to children because it would go over their heads, then fine I agree with you. The KJV DID go through a few languages before getting to English. This is unlike the ESV, NASB and many others that were direct from original language manuscripts. With that said, we shouldn't kill unless commanded to do so...Jesus also clarified it in the gospels, so a good point, but the KJV is an example of a translation that did traverse more than one language. We have way more and (I think) older manuscripts now than we did when the KJV was done (dead sea scrolls). I don't mean to imply Wes is mistaken or deceitful here, just that what he is saying is not true of the KJV. Despite that, it is still very accurate!

@@clayspigeon Apparently a vast amount of folks take him seriously. A president and vp elect were just on his podcast if you were paying attention. In fact it was the candidate who refused to get on his podcast that lost the election. Joe is like the global podcast liason that shines light on many positions in many aspects of our world. For you to ask "who can ever take him seriously" tells that you must not be paying much attention in this space of things.

@padraigmcdermott5533 he wears A Nasa outfit..anyone with half a functional brain can not take him seriously. You get the statement, correct? Nasa is a joke..like rogan.

So Wes is saying, our modern version of the bible wasn't just directly translated from the previous most popular language. It was made using every languages translations all the way back to the original texts. Hope this helps
