I want to thank you and thank God for working through you to make this video. I'm an ordained minister and a budding theologian and what you have done is quite amazing. You have taken what is a very serious and difficult task (exegesis) and explained it in a really simple and practical way. I can't wait to share this method and your video with my congregation. Thank you and bless you.

Faith, thanks for this video. I am studying 1 John, with someone I disciple, and was fearful that I was too familiar with this book and couldn't therefore study it more and gain a richer & deeper insight into the text. I've been focussing on chapter 1 and I felt like I had reached my limit of "milking the text" (truth is, I don't know how to study the Word for all its worth). So I used this method and was able to gain a richer and deeper understanding of chapter 1. Thanks for teaching this baby Christian another way to enjoy His Word. I'll be binging your channel now so that I learn numerous ways to enjoy His Word through reading and studying. #newsub

Hey Faith! Thanks so so much for the awesome video! I LOVE this method for dissecting the word. So I’m working on applying arrows to Hebrews 7:24-25 where it talks about Jesus having a permanent priesthood, and I’m a little stumped on the second to last arrow on how to relate it to others in day to day life. How could I relate to others in my life using this text? I know there’s gotta be a way, but I’m not for sure.
@HowtoFaithALife3 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! Great question! I love when peoples comments get me opening my Bible and looking at the Word! It genuinely makes me excited and smile! I'd say that BECAUSE Jesus is our permanent high priest, making intersession for us, we should be overflowing that loved poured out on us undeserving sinners to then love others like we've been loved. Also, that passage talks about the forever-ness of Jesus's priesthood, which should give us an eternal mindset, which would make us see SOULS not just another person... you know? So then we'd see the eternal value in others and in sharing the gospel and in loving our neighbors, etc! I hope that made sense! This is just my first thoughts, if I think of anything else I'll come back and find this comment and comment some more! ;) Sorry for the essay!
@holyspiritbhaddie3 жыл бұрын
@@HowtoFaithALife I appreciate your essay LOL! Yes, that makes a TON of sense and honestly I hadn’t even thought about thinking of other people as more than just a human but as a soul within that human. Wow, what a concept!!!!!! I feel like thinking about that whenever I am interacting with others will inspire me to be more bold when sharing my faith!… Thinking of them as souls… got it! Thank you so much!!

Just a quick question: if John was the oldest gospel, how does it feed off of the other gospels? Wouldn't this make it the youngest gospel? Sorry, I just want to understand everything I possibly can about the bible.

I think she must have mis-spoken when she said it was the oldest gospel. I believe it was written after the others.

Faith, I have been watching your videos nonstop for a week! I just found you! I ordered the Interleaved Bible...but I cant get past the CREAM pages! Is yours cream?? I may add pages to my Inductive study Bible instead, because the white pages and the font are easier on my eyes. But love your videos!
@SonshineLady73 жыл бұрын
I'm a little confused - do you draw those arrows in your Bible when studying or in a separate notebook & write any thoughts there? Getting great ideas from you. Would really enjoy an interleave Bible but I can only get one now to replace the one I've used & taken to church since 1972!!!!! I need giant print now so I'm looking for a KJV/giant print to take to church. At some time in the future I pray I can get an interleave for study; right now, too much for my budget! Thank you for your time and ideas!

I basically take all notes in my Bible, unless the notes are situational or topical and then I put them in my Bible study notebook. I totally understand the issue with cost, but I'd encourage you to check out discount Bible book stores! I got my Bible for $15 new, it was discounted and sold at a Bible book outlet store, which is where I get almost all my Bible study books! Or check ebay or discount websites!
