When Jesus tells them to tell John what they heard and have seen, that’s great instruction on how to witness to unbelievers. Tell them what I’ve heard and seen Jesus do in my life.

That was my first question! How does John not know this is the Christ? John was the one to tell everyone who the Messiah was!!! Or, at least he was suppose to be. Maybe, just like us, we sometimes doubt what God has laid out for us even when we really know his truth.

To this day Jews set a place for Elijah at their Passover table because he must come back before the Messiah comes but Jesus clearly says in verse 14 that John is the Elijah
