I've heard criticism of Santa Claus even in the church. However we forget the purpose of legends and fairytales. They are to teach a moral lesson. Washington admitting he chopped down a cherry tree was a story about honesty. Santa Claus is a story about giving anonymously without expecting something in return and for love's sake only.
