The NT is a curated collection of Christian and proto-Christian writings that were meant to consolidate early Christianism's belief systems. Those who wish to study the history of religion will find the curation process fascinating.

@apotropoxyz6685 - History of Religions school was a 19th century theory that has since been debunked. See www.equip.org/articles/defending-the-new-testament-jesus/ www.equip.org/articles/the-search-for-jesus-hoax/ and www.equip.org/articles/the-jesus-seminar-the-quest-for-the-imaginary-jesus/

@@BibleAnswerMan The formation of the bible & the early christianities that didn't persist is fascinating stuff. Learning the gospels are anonymous & none of the authors of the NT ever met Jesus is something you won't hear from the pulpit. Then we know the text has been altered, the last part of Mark was added later. Half of Paul's epistles are regarded as forgeries. We have no original copies of the bible. All of these things should make someone doubt the veracity of this document.

@BibleAnswerMan So many discrepancies in the bible. The stories are so unbelievable because of those untrue discrepancies. The excuses Christians make are so... frustrating. I stopped believing in the bible years ago. I believe in life after life, reincarnation, Paranormal. Don't believe we are sinners. There is no judgment. No hell... we been deceived. John 14:12-14 "Whoever believes in me..." That is for everyone who believes in Jesus and yet, NOTHING from Christians. EVERY Christian should be doing great things Jesus has been doing. Why? Because the Christian bible was never meant to make it out of that time period. It was for those people going through what they were going through. We been deceived by the church, that's why.
