I’m so blessed by this. I’m a rote man, and really I don’t recall anyone ever teaching me Hoe to learn or how to memorize. So much of what I’d learn later is confirmed by research I learned experientially as I learned what worked. I’m trying to pick up on what you are laying down, and I’ve started to purchase some books. I hope I can use Mnemonics and find something that to be honors God and hopefully is more intrensic and maybe even organic than many of the mind palaces I’m hearing about. My memory was quite visual until recently as I could still remember at times word for word what I’d read and where it was in a book and on what part of the page the words were located. I kind of had some location spatially for putting information away tying it into context or how I’d use it but also like putting laundry in drawers where I could go looking for it, but nothing remotely like most of the persons in your videos. Than you!!

Can you do a video on a day in your life of memorizing scripture? I Know that’s different from the other types of videos you do, but it would be cool to see how you incorporate scripture memory into your everyday life. Also, it would be cool for you to vlog so we could meet your family! If they’re comfortable with that of course 😀😀

Ha! I might try that someday. Thanks for the suggestion!

This was great Josh, thank you. It’s amazing how God brings memorised verses to mind just at the right moment during pastoral ministry. And as Duane says, one of the benefits of learning whole psalms and books of the Bible means that you spend time meditating on the ‘harder’ sayings which can so easily be overlooked.

Agreed. That's the value of learning entire passages instead of individual verses.

Hey Josh, I hope you’re well I was wondering if you were planning on creating an Old Testament checklist poster like your NT one? I love the NT one and am a potential customer :) Thanks for all the work you do
