So good and true I was just telling others this. We can’t force our convictions on others that God didn’t give them yet or may never give!!!

absolutely valid points! I rely on God's promise that His Holy Spirit will guide us to all truth and all knowledge, all we have to do is ask the Lord for that guidance and as you shared, not get into that divisive or even judging attitude when interacting with others who might not have the same convictions.

Bravo, Sarah. This video resonates with me a lot. I think we influence others by how *we* live *our* lives. With friends, I might not agree with all their actions or words but I don't approach them with judgment. I might share why I wouldn't do XYZ but I don't tell them "that's wrong" or "you're wrong." It's not my place to cast judgment or to condemn. You're exactly right about "we don't know where they are on their journey." People might be taking baby steps in the right direction but if they are confronted with callous judgment, scolding, or rejection they might abandon their walk or find a place where they feel safe and welcome.

Hello Sarah thank you so much for enlightening us,I use to have a lot of chains on my leg,and piecings in my nose and ears and it got to a time I was'nt comfortable with it anymore,so I had to take them off no one told me to take them off, but I felt this conviction to remove them.i just want to say all you said in your video is very through, God bless you for the encouragements

Just wanted to add, that, yes, I agree, that we shouldn't judge others in liberties they are taking because the Holy Spirit has a timing in enlightening them. And we sure don't need to play "Junior Holy Spirit," move God off the throne, & pridefully take over His job in bringing them to spiritual maturity. Years ago, when I was unmarried, a guy from my church called me very early in the morning & announced that he had just spent 45 minutes in prayer & asked if I, as well, had been in intense prayer. I told him I hadn't even had my first cup of coffee & was only barely awake. I could tell that he thought I was being negligent about the things of God & that it was his personal job to chastise me.

Thank you. I'm a girl and this was so relevant to me. 😭 Sometimes I feel hurt if someone has a different conviction than me to the point where I feel forced towards their conviction even though it's not what I believe. But I don't want to have divisions. There are people in the church that I love and every time I see them I think "oh, it's them, I love them..." but then I also feel very confused by the things they say. 😔💔💖

I think the main issue here is identifying gospel centered issues (doctrine of salvation by grace alone, Christ's death and resurrection sufficient to atone our sins and bring us into right relationship with God). Issues of personal convictions, complementation vs. egalitarian, calvinism vs arminian and the like are "in house" discussions. I can commune with someone who has different viewpoints on how we are saved or what roles men and women should have in the church, or someone who homeschools their children and someone who doesn't, but if someone rejects Christ's resurrection, they are not a Christian (by definition). And I want to preface this by saying you will never have convictions from God that allow sin. (As you mentioned in the video) In 1 Corinthians 8, Paul talks about the issues of personal convictions. In summary, Paul says we should seek to obey God in our own personal convictions while loving others who have different ones. For instance, you may not feel convicted to abstain from alcohol but when you're around someone who struggles with alcohol, you abstain out of love for them. On the flip side, the person who struggles with alcohol should not expect that all abstain. Additionally, James 4:17 says "he who knows what is right and fails to do it, for him it is sin." So we should take personal convictions seriously as a way for us to honor and obey God in our personal walk, but not by imposing them on others. Each person should seek to honor and obey God and the convictions of others who are doing the same.

Peace and blessings. I have been having a difficult time with this. CHRIST said Je came to divide especially in the home. He said if we do not love Him more then we cannot be His disciple. I understand that this means to love Him the most. The division caused divorce in my family so wondering how can we know if we are doing it right? We need to have the fruits of the Spirit and even when we do sometimes it still causes rejection.

I try to use Colossians 3:17 as my conscience: And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father by him. This is the lens I look through when deciding whether something is ok for me or not. But in saying this I am always mindful that the only righteousness I have is in the blood of Christ. I also try to respect others convictions even if they aren't mine & not be a stumbling block to them. In saying that, however, God keeps me on a short leash, lol, ha ha, and it keeps getting shorter because of John 8:29 & Philippians 2:5, & 2 Corinthians 10:5 John 8:29: [Jesus speaking]: .........for I do always those things that please him. Philippians 2:5: Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10:5: .........bringing every thought in captivity to the obedience of Christ.

This is edifying…regarding tattoo there is a scripture saying saying « no tattoo I am the Lord » Leviticus 19:28 since there is a scripture making tattoo knowing that is it disobedience? Should we even argue about it ?

The meaning of tattoos have changed over time we also have to keep in mind some of the cultural things of those times.

@@taeminsgf4275 James 1:17 « Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning » The Word is God if He says « No tattoo I am the Lord » how can we change that ? How The Word of God has to adapted to the culture? As far I am concerned I rather stick to the scriptures « But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves »

True Christian walk is a personal journey different stages of the journey back to GOD.Most people know about the Bible but, don't understand The Word. The Word became flesh searchers have to yearn/desire/pray/study this word made flesh.Like Paul our renewed mind has to become a Biblical mind "no longer I that lives." faith is the Portal 4 The HOLY SPIRIT to penetrate our whole being and HE will guide to the uncompromised Truth. This truth is for discerning not judging.PRAY !
