Happy Sabbath everyone... remember we are entering a time of trouble, and we, as God's children, need to prepare and warn everyone about the evils which are soon to be upon us. Love to all. Brendan from South Africa.

💙 Amen 👍🏼 💜 Letting our past go (forgiving yourself) is crucial in order to accept God’s forgiveness toward you. It’s not required, by God, to forgive ourselves so God will forgive us, but it is required to accept God’s forgiveness, after we have repented. God is bigger than our past. After all, He did die knowing we were sinners, and because we are sinners in need of forgiveness from our Saviour. rather it be forgiveness toward others, or our own self destructive-past choices. “What a Friend we have in Jesus.” Amen 🙏🏼 😀

I am quite tired of hearing this incomplete teaching countless times by counselors and pastors influenced more by counseling theories than God's word. Please use God's word only in your teachings. Your teaching is not about biblical forgiveness cos its unbiblical. Brother, only God can forgive. And it took God the life of His Son to offer forgiveness. You took a human example and lots of human counselling theories and create a new doctrine. Paul says, "Avenge not yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God....." Rom 12:19 Luke 17:3-4 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

This is an incomplete study on the topic of forgiveness because it left out important verses. Luke 17:3-4 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. Notice the "IF" in both verses which implies condition. Jesus is teaching that the forgiveness is conditional upon repentance. This is for the benefit of the trespasser who needs to repent and put their life right with God. God's forgiveness is also conditional. 1 John 1:9 KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness Notice the "IF" again. Does God forgive sinners who refuse to repent? Of course not! Hell will be full of unrepentant sinners. Furthermore it states in Proverbs 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD. Sometimes those who wilfully continue in sin need to be held to account for their own sake.

You make a valid point, which cannot be ignored, however this study has a lot of gems to help us in this very difficult practice. Why do we struggle so much with forgiveness? May we ponder that also, thank you

In Matthew 18:22 Jesus told Peter “Seventy times seven.” This is interesting because the 490 day/year prophecy, of the 2,300 day/year prophecy found in Daniel 8:14; 9:25, is the time period God/Jesus gave the Jewish nation. When Stephen was stoned for preaching the Gospel of Christ to the Jews, the Gospel was given to the Gentiles.

My dear, so if the person refuse to repent, I mean your neighbour according to "if" won't you forgive?

Easier said than done!!!!!:/ However, if we won’t Forgive, than God won’t Forgive us!!!!! The Bible is clear!!!!
