Used to get golfers elbow until I started doing this plus using rotating handles for pull-ups. Seems obvious really - align force with the plane a hinge joint moves in - but it’s rare to get bicep machine that’s spot on in terms of ergonomics even if you use it unilaterally.

Yeah, I’ve started noticing how the triangle grip on rows and pulldowns can be uncomfortable because the arms aren’t aligned with it. Using rings or d handles that split feels better!

I think the simpler solution is to just focus on hammer curls! They probably hit the biceps just as much, they just bring in the other elbow flexors to a high degree too.

I did heavy incline curls like an idiot for 25 kgs I think for a 4 rep max. I destroyed my wrists, don’t be like me. Lower the weight slowly and explode on the concentric, you will drop a lot of weight but will make more gains. I have since added some good size to my arms from like 15 inches to closing in to 16.

I recently got slight tendonitis from preacher machine curls. I could never troubleshoot the issue until I did this and I never got it again. Would you happen to know what to do for elbow pain for overhead tricep movements?

Yes, don't do them, not really worth it, just do pushdowns, JM presses and dips.

you can use a tight band wrapped around your elbows, mid tension, in order to perform french press with db o db skull crushers, pain free, that's how i do. Those bands that women use to perform monster walks (just to get the idea what i'm talking about)
