Yes, Turkey is great! The very next trip will be on Crete (again) with some friends. We've been there in 2013 and it was pretty nice: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJiXf6uimZpsb8U The next "big tour" might go from Van (endpoint of this tour) to Teheran or from Bishkek (endpoint of kzbin.info/www/bejne/pabSdmWtgM6VY7s) to Kaxgar.. or something completely different:-)

Hello +nopysmurf , that's correct. We startet directly from the aiport. We brought our bicycle as "sport luggage" - most airlines offer this option. You only have to wrap your bicycle for save transport.

Hey Patricia, it took me a while figuring out the best way to fix the camera. The video of my first Turkey tour shows how shaky other soultions can be: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn7ZoKqjpJuFoK8 In 1:27 of this video you catch of a glimpse of the mount: It's a Manfrotto Superclamp 035 (quite heavy, but stable) plus the CROSS CB5.1 ball head and one half of the connecting column of the CULLMANN FLEXX tabletop set. I also tried the clamp of the set, but it's bending and therefore not suitable for this purpose. I hope this helps? :-)

Tires: Continental Travel Contact Getting a good steel frame, took me some time.. i guess it'll be quite difficult to get a Hardo Wagner, but maybe you can search for Fern-Fahrräder or Fahrradmanufaktur. They build very good frames

Tolle Reise und echt gut gefilmt. Erinnert mich sehr an unsere Rundtour in Westanatolien :-) Die Musik kann man zwei Minuten aushalten, danach nervt's, gut dass man leise machen kann ;-)
