I've been singing / performing for 30 plus years & in my opinion, artistic license has never been honored in the way it has with this band in regards to this tune in particular. Absolutely phenomenal. The melodic chord changes capture the mood of the lyrics, the arrangement retains the Irish integrity with the instrumental jams, and the violins, flute & tin whistle are extraordinarily tailored. To completely restructure a traditional Irish tune such as this is both bold & risky, but to capitalize on that endeavor in leaps & bounds has to be a most gratifying achievement. To hear the conventional versions of this tune & then take in this incredible creation (by a Serbian band, no less) is beyond description & scope.

One two three four five.....to be continued....

Happy Saint Patrick's Day 2014 from all of us here in So'no'ma California USA. Here in So'no'ma County on the coast and rural West Marin, the landscape is strikingly similar to the lush green pastureland of Ireland, Scotland, and the Yorkshire Dales in the north of England where All Creatures Great & Small takes place, both the book series by James Herriot and the 1978 BBC television series starring Christopher Timothy, Robert Hardy, and Peter Davis'son. Take my word for it, the most recognizable renditions of this song are this version done by Orthodox Celts, the version from the Sherlock Holmes movie starring Robert Downy Jr. as Mr. Holmes himself, and the version done by The High Kings, also credited for their version of Marie's Wedding having sound significance toward the Orthodox Celts' and Van Morrison's versions of the song.

What the fuck are you talking about?! You can count Serbs in Ireland with fingers on one hand. We're not in EU, thus can't get employed in Ireland. Don't mix Poles with Serbs. And since Celts dwelt on our lands in 3rd century a.d. and influenced both in genes and in culture, we have every right to play this kind of music. Instead of being pissed, you should be flattered.
