I highly doubt it for the following reasons: 1) The Turkish economy is currently in critical condition. If Turkey hands the S-400 batteries over to Ukraine, then they will have to replace them with the Patriot SAM system from the United States. This system is less capable and costs double the price. 2) Turkey is currently dependent on Russian natural gas for its electricity needs. At a time when the Turkish economy is really suffering, can they afford to pay much higher prices for natural gas from alternate sources ? 3) Turkey has already signed a multi billion dollar deal with Russia to build several nuclear power plants inside the country. Turkey has likely already paid billions as a down payment for these facilities. 4) Turkey is still depends on Russia for the vital maintenance of the S-400. Without the routine vital maintenance being conducted on time, the system will likely not run properly 5) More importantly, Russia still hasn't given Turkey the software codes for the S-400. This essentially gives Russia completely control over the encrypted software. For example, the friend or foe identification system will not allow any operator to fire on Russian aircraft. Aside from that Russia likely has a kill switch which can render the system useless. On top of that Russia will probably be able to relay the coordinates of the missile batteries at all times.

I can only laugh. F16 ? There was no intention to send F16 to Ukraine and there is no logic behind that. Ukraine does not have the infrastructure for F16 and no trained pilots for it. There was only a talk with other countries for MIg 29 that Ukraine air force already uses. The S400 is also highly similar to the S300 ukraine already has and uses, with people already trained to use it. Advanced military equipment is not plug and play, you need training for it, from pilots to people mantaining, rearming and servicing them.

No, Turkey will not send S-400 for a few reasons. The first reason is they will later have to buy more expensive and less effective western air defense systems. Second, who would operate S-400 in Ukraine? Third, the system has a friendly fire code that Russians have that recognizes Russian aircraft so it wouldn't react to Sukhoi's. Fourth, Turkey didn't put sanctions on Russia, because of several reasons, they don't want to shoot themselves in the legs with S-400.

Russia is the manufacturer of the s400. So am sure they know the strengths and weaknesses of their own system. Secondly, their is something called kill switch. Each country that manufactures a weapons has a way to switch off that particular weapon if you try to use against them so Russia can simply just do that.

Just to be clear. Export versions S-400 are not nearly as good as the domestic S-400 Russian Army uses. Unlike domestic version of S-400 export versions lack capability to detect Russian stealth planes, are less resilient to jamming and antiradiation missles, less capable radars, which is made for Russian strategic reasons. They are somewhat upgraded S-300s but nothing too revolutionary and sofisticated about them. S-300 are perfectly fine for the job
