Why this double standard when it comes to Israel? It's weird how Israel's consistent violation of international law is just ignored as if this aggression has nothing to do with anything. As if over 70 years of illegal occupation and settlements by Israel isn't responsible for creating this mess. There's plenty of red paint throughout this conflict, however, the fact remains that Israel's colonisation of Palestine is the pre-eminent obstacle to peace. Hopefully, this is finally coming to an end, and Israel will begin to be held accountable for their crimes.

There's plenty of red paint throughout this conflict. However, the fact remains that the pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel's colonisation of Palestine. The hostages return is clearly not a priority for Israel. Hamas offered to release the hostages on Oct 9 in exchange for no invasion of Gaza. Israel rejected this. Israel demands a "final solution" for Palestinians. The people they pretend never existed ( a land without a people) do exist. Israeli colonial settlers have displaced and excluded them from their homes and land physically and politically. For them to not exist is what Israel finds acceptable, and somehow, these people don't want to do what Israel wants them to do and disappear.
