@@bobspence5322 That's missing the point. Character IS important. But it's never been the deciding factor. What actually is? There's an Akira Kurosawa film called "Ran". (It's essentially King Lear.) There's a scene at the beginning of the film where an elderly warlord is trying to impart knowledge to his three sons. He hands them each an arrow and asks them to break it. They do. Then he hands each of them three arrows. And tells them to try to break three arrows in a bundle. The first two sons essentially placate their father and give up. The third son becomes angry, because he knows what kind of men his brothers truly are. He knows his father is being naive. So, he bends the arrows over his knee, and manages to break all three arrows. Demonstrating that will is the deciding factor. Not cooperation. Not right and wrong. The elderly father banishes his "disrespectful" son. Without giving too much away, the two eldest sons are precisely the kind of people the father was warned about by the youngest. He gets overthrown and goes insane. What I'm saying by bringing up this scene is that character can only go so far, and it's naive to believe otherwise. Trump actually has the will to win, but he's never had character on his side. So why is it close? You get what I'm saying? This isn't about the Democrats. They aren't ENTITLED to anyone's votes, no matter how bad the other guy is. Running a guy with obvious dementia and Parkinson's is like pouring rocket fuel on a fire. And it's based on the foolish assumption that Democrat's gaslighting of the American public is somehow justified in comparison to the Republican party's gaslighting. It just proves that the entire system is not working as intended. We have a 25th amendment for this precise situation. I'm the guy breaking all three of the arrows and telling you to stop being a fool. Disrespectful as it may be, it's gotta be said, because it's the truth.

I want to just take this space to really give a hand to George. He approached this in the right way: which is that this is really a moment of national trauma and deep but uncomfortable pity for the President. He was considerate and compassionate, but he pressed Biden on the questions Americans want to hear. If every media voice displayed this degree of sensitivity in interviews with people they maybe don't like for partisan reasons, we would be in a better place as a nation. Because it's about compassion. And I won't deny that George has engaged in partisan hackery in the past; but anyone who claims that he managed this interview with a partisan agenda is just flat out wrong or lying. There's a part of MAGA that's just as insane as the MSNBC brains. I wonder if we can get them help or just see them as votes and try not to alienate them too much by going to hard into the paint against these groups.
