Haa, they will not be fired the state will have to negotiate with their former employees, the ILA, and the employees will end up getting better pay. These are specialised jobs the state will not let them go, they will have to pay them a better job.

Save 270 jobs, to risk losing 80k+ jobs that makes sense to anyone? And the 270 workers would just work as union workers… and since SC is “right to work”, they can actually get all the benefits of a union, without paying any dues.

It’s always been in our master contract form since way back when I don’t kno why they don’t tell yall this any new port that comes online all work goes to union mememebers it’s in fine print which is why we won the suit! And the Supreme Court refused to hear the states appeal
