Covid testing in the US was just an act of minting money. During our visit in Dec'21 we have to take a covid test before boarding the flight to India. It was 150 USD per person. Yet they gave a wrong report. Again we have to take a test in an emergency which is double the charge. The second one came correctly. It was a nightmare.

Assumed that China has inflated their export data. India also published their bilateral trade data with China. If export of China to India is much less than they published, then why India is accepting their data and based on that why imposing higher tariff on Chinese Goods? Why USA is imposing higher tariff on Chinese Goods if actual export by China to USA much less compared to Chinese data. For Domestic Market, Tesla announced their December 24 sale of EVs is China is 8.8% higher compared to last year, it indicates that Tesla is also publishing wrong data to show that Chinese Economy is performing well.

Sree Iyer and Sumit Peer, I like your programs and watch them quite regularly. But in this commentary you are, in my opinion, wrong about Fauchi. He did his best to support Trump in spite of Trump suggesting to inject the population with Chlorox!! Fauchi is a man of science and unfortunately there are several Trump’s persons who want to prosecute Fauchi. And imagine a retired Govt person where would he get the money to defend himself. In that case Fauchi would spend all his life’s savings trying to defend himself. Trump and his people have already expressed their wishes to prosecute Fauchi. So in my opinion pardoning Fauchi may be the right thing. By the way I am not a supporter of Biden and not against Trump and I do support many of Trump’s policies. Also, on the second part of your comments about Covid deaths it is better not to compare with America. You should compare deaths in India against those in Pakistan, Bangladesh etc as these countries have similar immunity. Pakistan/Bangladesh perhaps had lower %age of deaths than India in spite of their not having money to buy vaccines etc!!
