U.S. President Joe Biden on July 13, 2024 signed “The Resolve Tibet Act”.This means the act is now law. It states that China’s ongoing occupation of Tibet must be resolved in accordance with international law peacefully and not through repression. The law sees Tibetans as people with their own religious, cultural, linguistic and historical identity. It recognises that China is suppressing the Tibetans’ way of life. On Livestream, SNG replugs an exclusive Dalai interview done four years ago in Bodh Gaya, by Editor-in-Chief Nitin Gokhale where he talks about the struggle for Tibet and other issues including a meeting with China's late leader Mao Zedong.
