No. It is a regulation through the Department of Education. Any institution that receives federal funding must comply with the regulation or lose their funding. So basically, all public schools and universities.

They were already protected. Title nine was designed exclusively for women- not for anyone else. Once we remove the provision that it is sex based, it no longer protects women. This rewrite is anti-feminist and anti-women’s rights.

Protecting girls and women does not mean forcing them to share dorm rooms, showers, restrooms, locker rooms with boys and men. This also silences any female who voices a concern. Any opposition voiced by a woman to say...being assigned a biological man as a roommate for an entire semester, is now viewed as grounds to kick her out of school. The school must comply or lose funding.
