They certainly did. DW had multiple panelists on to heavily criticize Biden and brainstorm alternative candidates for a late-stage swap. At one point, they even brought up the term “Big Mike”! It was shocking, to say the least.

Now, after 44’s tweet, we are seeing the media walk back there initial criticisms. At times, I found myself questioning Biden's statements and performance, as he seemed to struggle. In contrast, Donald Trump outperformed him, backed by evidence to substantiate his arguments. Trump seems to be prepared and ready .

I would vote against Trump even if he were literally running against a crushed milk carton. I would not be able to live with myself if I voted for a fascist, so the Democratic candidate is and will remain the only choice unless and until the Republican Party drives out some of its unsavory elements and returns to what it was even just 15 years ago. Obviously the "debate" made Biden look very bad, but that has a weight of 0% in my calculations, so it's immaterial. Never, ever Trump.

@@wiseman7779 I can name what he has done wrong. To begin with he has praised Putin and Xi. What type of man compliments genocidal dictators? Also what type of man insults the spouse of the another man (Elaine Chow)? Hardly Presidential behavior. His Isolationist policies will only lead to more wars and conflict not less, etc. It was his foreign policies that allowed China to get stronger foothold in Central and South America, on our doorstep. While I agree with him on the border, our allies doing their share of the heavy lifting in NATO etc. Trump lacks the statecraft and ability to articulate those policies in a presidential manner or ability to compromise to get things done. In effect he is no Ronald Reagan who with Tip O'Neil was able to get stuff done.
