Great job! This is one of the best DIY fence systems that I've seen so far.

Great solution for a fence. I recently found an old Craftsman tablesaw from the 60's with a free sign on it, so naturally I grabbed it quick! Cast iron table too, but no fence. Looking to refurbish and may give your method a shot!👍🏽. Thanks for posting! Cheers!👊🏽

Cool design! What kind of wheel is guiding the rear of the fence?

I couldn't tell either, but you'd be better off to tap a hole for a bolt and then run it through an actual bearing.

How much rip capacity do you have to the left and right of the blade? I really like your idea and plan on building one myself on my older Craftsman 10" table saw. The fence system that is on it now is crap!!! LOL. I really need something better. Thanks for the video it has really helped out a lot. I look forward to seeing more.

Hey Marlon. I have 18 inches to left of the blade and 23 1/2 inches to right. I could make the right fence extend further if I extended the track, but I haven't the need to yet.

how is the fence holding up for you? I just bought an older homecraft 8" saw that I'll be building into a table and decided to try to get a 52" rip capacity, but obviously can't use the factory fence rails for this. definitely looks like a great design!

+Jimboslice5545 The fence is holding up well. I have been using it a lot with no problems. Adding the magnetic to hold the far side of the fence perfectly still has really helped with large stock that is hard to keep right up next to the fence. I would definitely recommend somehow incorporating that in your new design.
