Definitely needs major renovations and literally anything in the concourses so it’s not just like 2 small concession stands lol but definitely a lot more salvageable than it seems I think

in regards to the name "Sooners", before Oklahoma was a state, there was a "land -grab" where people lined up outside the territory, and at midnight, people were allowed to go into the territory and claim a portion of land. There were some people who didn't follow the rules and went in early (aka sooner) to grab land. The Big 12 was a partial merger of the Big 8 and Southwest Conferences. all the Big 8 schools OU, OSU, CU, KU, KSU, ISU, MU, and UN and the 4 Texas schools UT, A&M, Baylor, and Texas Tech. Then CU (PAC 12), UM (SEC) UN (Big 10), and A&M (SEC) left in the early 2010's. The partial merger left TCU, SMU, Rice, and Houston without a conference home. A 'Sooner' is a cheater actually. It refers to an event in the 19th century where the Oklahoma territory was opened to White settlers and free to claim by new pioneers. All you had to do was stake a claim to a patch of land that you wanted, and voila- it was yours! Unfortunately, not everyone played by the rules. Many snuck in to the territory the night before and claimed the best plots of land for themselves before the race officially began. Because they got a head start, they were called "sooners" because they staked their claims too soon.

The Big 12 currently only have 10 teams which is odd because Missouri and Texas A&M left for the SEC, Colorado to the Pac 12, and Nebraska to the Big 10. In the same year both 4 of those teams left the conference. 2 new teams joined. TCU and West Virginia. Soon Texas and Oklahoma are leaving the Big 12 for the SEC, so it would seem we would have 8, but in 2023, 4 teams will join the Big 12! Those teams are Cincinnati, Houston, Central Florida, and Brigham Young! So soon we will back to 12!

And the same year that UT and OU are leaving for the SEC, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, and Colorado are joining the Big 12 to make it a 14 team conference.

On October 29 at 7 pm, WVU kicks off its basketball season with an exhibition game against Akron. Then on November 9 and 12, WVU hosts Oakland (MI) and the Pitt Panthers, respectively. The Coliseum will be crazy on that Saturday night when Pitt comes to town. Without Deuce McBride and Derrick Culver who went to the pros, WVU is still a Top 30 team and will get better with all the depth Huggs recruited.

I’ve been to every stadium aside from Jack trice, even the old big12 teams. Most intimidating ksu, Texas a&m, most uninspiring Missouri and Oklahoma. It’s like the angle of the bleachers has everyone far away, sound is like it’s distant. Compared to Nebraska, Nebraska seems like every play is the first play of the game (best place) honorable mention Texas tech…. Idk maybe I just love west Texas or just the pretty girls everywhere out there

The Kstate section of this video is all off. Didn’t even mention the south endzone and the “under construction” north end zone has been done for years. Also the new indoor renderings are one google away. But castle!
