Big 12 Gameday Analysis & Preview Show | Week 8

The Big 12 Insiders is a streaming show hosted by former Kansas State football player Brien "Big B" Hanley. It covers everything related to and affecting the new 16-school Big 12 Conference. In today's edition, former Big 12 offensive lineman Brien Hanley is joined by 247Sports Big 12 analysts Cody Nagel and Alec Busse, who is the publisher of 247's Iowa State site, to discuss the biggest storylines around the Big 12, as well as college football, and to analyze this weekend's Big 12 football lineup.

good luck, it will be interesting to see how the WVU staff and players respond to Brown going off script with those presser comments and the whole "coal rush" promotion sort of falling flat last week after the excitement didn't end up leading to a very good performance by the Mountaineers after the first 8 minutes of game time. I think KSU might be in some trouble this week if WVU team rallies around their flag.

Watching the K-State vs Colorado game, it showed me that Shedeur Sanders is one hell of a Quarterback. He lost all those receivers and he still got the ball to the replacements. He put the ball where it needed to be regardless who was catching it. As a K-State fan, it was the first time I have seen him (Sanders) play a whole game. I must say, I was impressed. However, I did enjoy seeing Giddens put Shedeur's brother on his a$$.

Good show. The big question in the conference has to be "will the sleeping giants of OSU and KU ever wake up and start to play to their potential". KU plays three of the main contenders to the Big XII crown in consecutive weeks so they could have a lot to say about who goes to Arlington. Upsets: WVU wins in Morgantown over KSU, Baylor +6.5 goes into Lubbock and covers, maybe even wins outright. I think the Baylor QB is pretty good, Tech by far worst in the Big XII against pass.

To be a sleeping giant, you have to be considered a giant at some point. When has KU ever been considered a giant in football?

@@Big12Insiders geez man it is metaphorical, they aren't real giants. In August on one of your shows with Fitz you predicted the Jayhawks to go 9-3 and said they were "really good" and had an "outstanding coaching staff". I guess next time I will have to just say "will the hugely underperforming teams vs. their potential of OSU and KU ever wake up" but that doesn't sound as good and I suppose you will say something like "they are not really asleep". The POINT is if either of those two teams ever start performing up to their potential that so many people thought they had before the season started there is still plenty of time for them to cause some havoc, starting with OSU at BYU tomorrow night.

3:32 Hopefully cooler heads prevail for the WV coach. The season is still young and their record should improve. We are in the Big 12 where every week is anyone’s guess. Gundy will go for his October surprise and BYU is NOT likely to beat the betting odds 7 weeks in a row, but I am a BYU fan…. GO COUGS!

I can understand Tech not being ranked bc they just havent been "impressive" in their wins. Havent really blown any of the teams out (not talking UNT), and they are still looking at the ACU game. Tech needs a couple BIG wins to get ranked, bc the eye test does matter.

10:31 Not a good idea for WV coach to challenge or criticize the fans. Understand their frustration and breed realistic hope in the team and coaches…. We all have our own learning curve hopefully he sees the light. Tough game for WV this week but hold o to hope…

We fans at WVU expect more than we should, I am a lifetime fan of WVU and want them to win , but, lets be realistic and Neil Brown is at least a good coach, if he had unlimited cash like some fan bases around the country, but Neil brown is a good coach and if we loose him it will be hard to get one as good as Neil...don't listen to these naysayers about WVU... Neil can't go out there and play himself..... the bullies rule at WVU seemingly.....

Neal Brown said fans should be ok to be entertained at a football game versus winning a football game. Basically he picked a fight with fans because they aren't winning enough. That's crazy.

I do not see ASU winning on Saturday morning. We do not have a chance, but all the Cincinnati fans will celebrate their win, and they will complain about how bad the tackling is.

Ok, I got it the last couple of times you mentioned, and as far as the game goes, I have it as a coin flip. Now, if your starting qb is out, +3 ASU is about right.
