At 3:59 in my "2018 TT Practice(June 1) The view from Ballagarey" video, I detected a rider "cruising" past in a massive wheelie. But I couldn't tell who it was! Just too fast. Well I think I've got him identified. Have a look-- my best guess is at the end.
UPDATE: Mike "Ballagarey Wheelie" Booth is having a great 2019 Senior TT, working his way up through the field! Best of luck, Mike!
UPDATE #2: At the 2022 IOM TT, Boothy suffered a life changing crash that resulted in multiple injuries including the loss of a leg below the ankle. Mike's positive attitude and with the support of his fans, friends and loved ones is getting him through a long and painful recovery period. While he doesn't expect to resume racing, he does plan to stay involved in motorbikes and events, including the TT. I wish Boothy all the best in whatever he decides to do in the future.

I rode for many years and cant even pretend to comprehend what that level of riding and focus is like. To any normal human on 1 wheel at that speed and its panic time but to that rider he probably didnt even notice it. Those dudes are legit

gary2kr1 Well said. The smallest slight mistake and they are nothing but a mangled wet rag against the trees. Amazing stuff. Sure would like to visit Isle of Man, beautiful island. Take care mate.

It is just a feel. When you are hitting 180/200 MPH you don't have time to think. You are just trying to spot the next apex. You don't think about a bump or a wheelie any more than you think about digesting food

Yep that's right, number 51 - Mike Booth, which is me. I'd seen a blonde girl watching from someones garden the previous lap so I could resist a wheelie. Everyone knows chicks dig wheelies.

Michael Booth, I'm even more impressed that you were taking time to enjoy the scenery on your way around. It is a lovely ride! Will you be back in 2019? Could you be encouraged to mount a GoPro or two on your bike?

Dammit Mike: I've just spent 10 minutes on t'interweb sussing out who it was (i.e you)! Racing-wise, what plans have you got for next year? I'll look out for you at the Southern 100 if you're competing (and you're right about chicks loving wheelies). Best wishes & keep it pinned! ;-)

@@ericzinter9535 Hello Eric. Yeah the plan is to go back in 2019 so we are working on getting the funds together now to get a new bike - the one I rode this year (in your video) is a 2012 model and way past its best. I'd love to fix a camera to the bike unfortunately NorthOne own the rights to any footage taken on the circuit so we aren't really supposed to take GoPros and stuff round.

Missy Dee, that's 10 minutes you're never going to get back! The plan is to get back to the TT in 2019, i doubt ill be at the Southern 100 though... only because there isn't enough space to pull big wheelies ;) !

@@boothy6057 I reckon it's 10 minutes well spent bab: considering some of the shite I'm doing on a daily basis! It's great to hear you're planning another assault of The Mountain Course at TT2019. It's undoubtedly the pinnacle of real road racing, but don't go discounting the S100. It's a superb meeting in its own right; a brilliant course; and a proper opportunity to hone your skill & lay down markers. Anyways, here's to you yersel' getting things sorted over the next few months & pushing on in the new season. I'll be lookin' out for ya ;-)
