I am an Electrical Engineering student and I can say that having both characteristics of Batteries and capacitors will make a charging device long lasting and efficient. Yeah. Capacitors discharge in just 0.9 microseconds due to low energy density and batteries can store charge upto their rated value which needs to change. Hope that in near future, we have super efficient batteries and big respect to the Indian Engineer who designed that battery which can easily be charged. But to bring that in smartphone and EVs would be a challanging task as so much energy into phone or EV in just a span of time can be disastrous. A delay time would be needed to protect the devices. Companies like Samsung needs more time and effort to research on this technology to make more efficient batteries which can last upto more that 900 cycles of charging.

It's like they don't want these invention out in the market as they might suffer heavy loses. I don't have much knowledge about this but whenever there's a new hope of technology they just disappear.

Please reply on my comment. On 9:18 you said if we give energy from external source the elecrons and protons ions goes back to lithium. If it is true then 3 questions arises. 1. If the same ions are reversing then from where the energy came to run the phone. 2. Also then what's the point of giving external /energycharge. 3. After giving external energy it is being utilized, so where is the electric units going inside the phone? I hope I'm clear to you guys.

Conclusion .....to charge anything instead of battery capacitor will be used as they get charged so fast and also discharge fast too .....and second ..since capacitor capacity is very low to store so it's surface area should be increased with special 3d design pore so that whatever charges got stored may leave .

Eesha Khare was an inventor and was a Young Scientist Award winner in the 2013 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. She was named one of Forbes' 30 under 30 scientists. She had developed the fast charger in 2013, we still don’t have the fast charger in seconds for the phone nor any news about Eesha
