this was very ahead of its time. within 5 years bands like EMF, Jesus Jones, Happy Mondays, Soup Dragons, the Farm, and Information Society were having success doing a similar sound, yet I rarely have heard B.A.D. noted for being the innovative/influential group they were.

The BAD tunes are brilliant, Mick was on fire & I can't help thinking that Joe Strummer made one of the biggest mistake in rocknroll getting rid of Mick from the Clash.

When I first got this LP, thought it was crap, especially after all the experiences I had with the MAJESTIC Clash... Listening to it, 35 years later, I think it was just too far ahead! LOVE it finally! Always admired Mick anyways!

I had a similar experience, someone left a cassette tape over after a night of partying. I thought that they were weird, I was stuck in my old way of thinking. BAD totally grew on me and I began to love them

I can identify the three main dialog samples in this. "Sit tight and listen keenly..." = Prince Buster from "The Harder They Come". "...possibility of another gang war"= New commentator from "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight". "The white man ain't left me nothin'..." = Lawrence Fishburne from "The Cotton Club".

Like The Clash this band rarely had any clunkers. Almost all their output was great. One of the few bands I pull out once every two years and binge on their entire catalog.

B.A.D was so totally of their time and place. Great visual cuts and cues, driving beat, samples, cross-cultural video mash ups. I miss those days....before 9/11 and the fear settled in. Bring it back Mick...bring it back....do it for Strummer....

I would have given my left arm to have KZbin when I was a teenager- when this song was new. Amazing the rare stuff one can find. The chances of seeing a video like this, from one of the "new wave bands", were slim to none, especially in the U.S. Whitney Houston was available.
