I remember Angelo's run very well! There was at least 20-30 locals noodling on the big elevator dumps every day for several months while he worked the big two slips that were carrying the opal. Each day, each noodler would sell jars for between 500 and $1000 each! Each Day Angelo would come up from below and tell them 'No noodling!' but would never be too annoyed and they would be there again the next day. The maths on what came off his dumps is staggering.. That spot started the massive rush that was featured on the ducumentary 'Opal Fever' An old Hungarian opal buyer named Gypsy Les bought most of the opal. One of the most notable finds in Coober Pedy of the 90's for sure and probably dwarfs any except for a few Opal Valley finds over the last 20 years. Love your work mate!

These videos are so very interesting! I love opal (who doesn't??) but, I only own one ring, which I get compliments on daily. (I've been wearing it since approximately 2003. That's a lot of compliments!) There was one section of the video, where I was concerned for the mental stability of the narrator! But, then I realized it was my own mental status that was unstable, so...there's that. Beautiful stone results for someone who "does it as a hobby"! Woowee!
@blueyedkitten74155 жыл бұрын
@@PulitzerOpal - Well, upon review, I couldn't remember which segment made me question the mental stability the most, as there is 5:52, 7:29, 9:20, 9:48, 11:42, 12:14, 13:11, 13:17, and 14:19. Plus, I'm fairly certain it was NOT aliens, but rather EVPs (you know...the kind of device of voice emissions used by ghost hunters...?) But, then again, I could just be unstable myself. Toldja!

Hahaha I definitely saw a face, on the one where you said, “don’t cut me!” Haha good stuff. I forget the word for it, but there’s a certain word for people who can see faces in just about anything. I’m that person. In fact, when ever I see a face in something, I’ll take a pic of it. Whether it’s a face or an image, some of the things I see are pretty astonishing. I have a rock that I found that I lapped with a diamond plate, and it literally looks like someone created some drawings on it. I’ve got tons of rocks that I have collected, I’m obsessed with rocks and stones. It started when I began freehand knife sharpening using Japanese natural stones. So I’d just pick up rocks that I thought would make great little knife stones. Long story short, I’ve got A LOT, of videos I want to make and post on my channel. Procrastination is ruining it however lol. Awesome videos my friend I love opal.
