There's a large amount of changes with this update, a lot impacting big parts of the game like hope diamond, rerolls, crit chance and damage, and enemy stagger. Should mix things up quite a bit. #ravenswatch #nightmare #update

For Hope Diamond suggestions, making things cost less X amount below Y% health would create some degenerate play patterns of intentionally getting hit by mobs before you go shopping. But as far as an additional downside, they could potentially do something to the effect of "Lose dream shards equal to 10% of damage taken"

Yeah I like that idea more, losing dreamshards per hit is probably a good balacne of the risk factor it should bring being a cursed item

I think crit is still king. Wonder if the reaction to talent and grimoire nerfs would have been as negative if they slid in some more buffs for the underperforming talents.

There's some that really need some help, I like that they touched up bladestorm (video is exporting now) but on final release I hope there's some big adjustments. And yeah crit still feels really good, especially with the changes to exp. Hitting level 5 at the 6 minute mark in chapter 1 might be too strong though

I actually got to play with the econ change yesterday as scarlet. It was a lot harder, but I really liked the change. To me it mainly meant really prioritized what to get in the shop, and that act 2 and act 3 suddenly was a lot more of a challenge (Even with a good build).

Yeah if I had a run with it I probably would have felt the same thing. Probably focus on finding a second key over doing a dreamshard camp or something like that

Some really interesting stuff. I've only had time for a single run yet, tried out Melusine spec build with Spring Water. It felt really weak to begin with, but after a few Mermaid Tears it was decent. I'm looking forward to spinning for the win with Beo, those I-frames sound juicy. Cheers for the run-down, looking forward to seeing you experiment with the changes.

@@torpor8652 maybe spring water will still be good with backwash and tidal wave. And I agree, most excited to she how bladestorm feels now, also really excited for geppetto crit builds

I was one of the few people that didn't hate the economy changes (before they reverted it) I did 2 runs (scarlet shapeshifter, wukong stone monkey) and nightmare felt significantly easier overall. I started a third run (I chose random hero each time, this time I got beo) but I went to sleep after chapter 1 and when I woke up the econ changes were gone idk if it was just good rng but spawn quantities in general felt significantly lower, and despite this the xp changes meant that I hit level 5 with 5.5-6 mins left in chapter 1 first run (scarlet) I just took what I got, still had enough money to complete items and get 1 or 2 talents to legendary (using sand of enlightenment) - took rerolls + armour from grimoires, and sometimes crit chance - damage came from ogre blood (bought 2 minor shapings), horn of plenty+vitality wells - rerolls were mostly used on talents, I just took any beneficial blues or purples mainly looking at power or defence - still got loads of legendary/cursed items (did not see hope diamond/golden coat, just an honest run) - stats ended up like ~200 vit, ~100 damage, 94 armour second run (wukong) I got hope diamond lep coin - same thing for grimoires, but only got offered armour once, armour ended up being pretty low since I took fast walker boots but I still managed fine - damage was 0 until chapter 3, but then I got all my damage from 2 ogre bloods and excalibur buying full legendary talents (was very much possible even with 80% increased prices) I even fully played out the chapter 3 well (I didn't do wells in c1 or 2 tho) - rerolls were mainly used on chests since I got an early tamatebako and in the end the run felt exactly the same as pre econ nerf, except the game was easier due to more xp and less enemy spawns - didn't buy many shapings, did end up buying sand of oblivion (full talent reroll), ended up with a decent power build sans focused strikes - stats ended up like ~90 vit, ~160 damage, 7 armour third run (beo) - got golden coat in chapter 1, it's still pretty op. It was already a 0 cooldown cheat death and it's still the same thing - only difference is that you need enough healing to regain 50% hp not 30% (swan cloak + dashes makes this brainless but I didn't have that, I got by fine just on beo's shield healing every now and then)

Yeah I've done one with Beowulf and agree that it felt easier, same reason I hit level 5 with like 6 minutes which just means chapter 1 and 2 you're a lot stronger than before. Honestly I didn't really notice the changes to stagger but I might notice it with more runs. 3rd chapter actaully felt a bit more difficult though, it seemed like the enemies were tuned a bit better and the golden apples now exploding when you break them seems like it might get you killed a few times if you're not paying attention. I like that the update made grimoires more equal between all the options. They nerfed rerolls but I think the unfortunate effect of that is it makes leprechaun coin even more applealing to get the 5 stack when it was already one of the best items in the game

was mixed on the econ changes and overall im glad they reverted it (and nerfed hope diamond) overall an awesome patch, seems like the perfect balanced state to prepare for launch

also i think the melusine nerfs were pretty reasonable overall. they might be a bit overkill but her healing and power damage could be pretty absurd with minimal effort

@@Nikolark yeah 80% more dreamshard cost seemed like it would have been super oppressive, I think in general players will be more receptive to the enemies being buffed rather than the player being nerfed. But some changes were absolutely necessary like the changes to hope diamond and pied piper and aladdin

So many fps games, 3 memes games, amogos lethal company and crab game, bloons and Castle crasher just to confirm he is a zoomer, dark arisen was great shame the sequel was unfinished garbage.

@@ozy667 haha I grew up with a PlayStation so huge majority of my games are there, also all those meme games are because of Tim and friends, I’m normally the one they have to convince for those games. Also not sure where the zoomer cut off is but I think I’m older than that
