Great to see the inner workings chap - Great to see your emphasis on safety. I had to rescue a work colleague from a round bailer once, a messy business. Thankfully he survived, but his arm was a mess.

Loads of ways to loose body parts and fingers, but by god it make you wonder how someone came up with the idea of all the bits and workings to make a bale.

I enjoyed that George, thanks👍 still gave me he gebbies though, even with the self stick in there... I've heard to many storied in the ag and arb would of missing people! Is it hydraulic assist start? Didn't seem to take much grunt to spin it up.
@GeorgeSaunders5 жыл бұрын
They are not very forgiving, make a mistake and it'll be your last one. No hydraulic start, just doesn't take too much when it's empty. Different story when it's full, takes a lot of revs to get it spinning.
@casto-5 жыл бұрын
Agreed, anything with an engine will happily give you an arse kicking! Ahh right, didn't think it had hydraulic start. I was half looking into a 4band baler but was told I needed a good 160+hp to power one. Dunno what my hp is but standard it's 125hp but she's tweaked

Great video . The baler is very dirty
@rmack485 жыл бұрын
When you see all the moving parts on one of those balers it just reinforces the warnings that you should not work around the intake when the baler is running because a person is treated just the same as the hay or straw if you get yourself caught in the intake when it is running.

They don't forgive any mistake.

What does the hydraulic cylinder next to the ram do?
@GeorgeSaunders5 жыл бұрын
That hydraulic cylinder is what controls the pre stuffer mechanism, it's what allows it to take a full stroke or only a half stroke
@diederikvandedijk5 жыл бұрын
@@GeorgeSaunders I can see how it links the pre stuffer to the plunger. In the video it makes the forks travel half the way when the plunger is in the back and the chamber is closed. But the cylinder does not extend or retract. Extending it can make the stuffer only do half strokes?
