Hey professor Johnny I sure did learn something. Stay away from the brush piles so we don't spook our fish . Great job out there johnny and the fish you lost that's what happens with big hooks you can help it because you need a big hook with that size swimbait . Great video johnny I'll keep watching god bless you and your family.

I love big bite baits. Have you ever used the squirrel tail worm they make? .. Small profile but I've had some really good luck with them.

In Oregon we don't have shad lakes.

Nice. Noticed you only have 1 graph up front. Do you just switch back and forth from livescope view and mapping to line up to the waypoint?
@FishtheMoment Жыл бұрын
Yeah. It would be nice to have another Garmin, but it’s kind of overkill in my opinion. I used to run all three brands up front, but I only used 1 graph 90% of the time anyways

@@FishtheMoment thanks. So you are running a GPS Map 1022 up front and the console?

I have a 1022 up front and a 8610xsv at the console

@@FishtheMoment Nice, I'm in the process of installing an 8610 up front and an 8612 in the back.

I noticed you’ve been using the garmins now for waypoints and Livescope. No more Humminbirds??
@FishtheMoment Жыл бұрын
I would like to run humminbirds, but the only units that work it’s my new recording setup are the APEX series and they are $4,000 each. I already had 1 Garmin up front so I just needed to switch my console unit to another Garmin which saved me $6,000 total.

Johnny, are you done with HBirds now? Weird not seeing one on your boat! I’m running the 30 day free trial of their new maps on my phone. Looks amazing with high potential, but all the colors can be overwhelming. I can still only find humps and points though. I’ve watched you for years. But you know that. Would be cool to see a video on it!

Can you come fish the rivers here in Pittsburgh PA and do some breakdowns!? Everyone does lakes. No one does rivers.

What size hook do you use on that 5.8?
@FishtheMoment Жыл бұрын
It’s a 7/0 3/4oz prototype swimbait hook from Core Tackle. We will be launching it in a few weeks

Would u still use this technique on a heavy stained lake?
@FishtheMoment Жыл бұрын
Yes this works great on dirty water lakes as well. I’ve had a ton of success fishing brushpiles in the Post-spawn when the lake or river has 6inches to 1.5ft of visibility. I usually catch them in brush that is 3-8ft deep. Pretty shallow but still offshore

I love you man but Weary and leary are two different words. But don't feel alone. Most people use the word Weary in place of leary often. " I am Weary from my long travels" "I've grown leary of the dangerous lions"

lol I didn’t mention the name, so I would delete this comment if you don’t want people knowing the lake name. I’m also pretty sure everyone knows about it
