Great video Johnny! This is exactly the content I need learn. The fish-finder is only useful if you know what you are looking at. One of the most important things I learned from this video was the fact that it took you 4 hours to find the bass. BIG TIME lesson in patience! I needed that badly! Haha! I struggle to have patience sometimes and this was a great reminder so THANK YOU!
@FishtheMoment3 ай бұрын
Thanks! Its very hard to sit behind the steering wheel for 4-5 hours, especially in 100 degree heat. Offshore fishing can be a big time grind in late July through September

Without patience you end up fishing a spot that “might” have bass instead of waiting for the right spot. Thanks again Johnny!

I love love love that you are using lowrance. Can you please add speed on your screens. Even if it is small in the corner with your depth. I fish a kayak. The fastest that I go is 2.5 mph. Usually I am graphing just over 2 mph. I am trying to compare the length of my arches to yours. Speed would help. Thank you!

Watching with the scope I get so dang many fish parades with the XD. Not many bites just lookers and followers. I wonder if I am not better off without seeing the live action of FFS it is morale crushing.
@FishtheMoment3 ай бұрын
Haha I have experienced the same thing. I think at times, it’s better to turn FFS off after you line up your cast on a school. I don’t think the sonar beam affects the fish, but I think they can sense when you’re trying to “lead them” with your bait while watching them on scope.

As a new angler I appreciate your videos. Does catching fish out of 25-35’ water cause barometric trauma in the fish like you see in tournament fishing or are they released quickly enough to return to deep water in recreational fishing they are not harmed?
@sweettrippin3 ай бұрын
I’ve learned a lot from your videos, I think if you was to add a trail line when you are graphing and showing maps it would help me and a lot of other new anglers how to graph these spots. Thanks for the video.

The lake I live on has lots of hybrid striped bass . I doubt there is any way to distinguish them from the Black bass . Would you agree ?
@FishtheMoment3 ай бұрын
it's actually fairly easy to tell white bass and hybrid striped bass apart from largemouth. White bass and hybrids will group up very close together and don't have any of the "personal space" I mentioned in the video. Larger striped bass (10+ pounds) will also have the "tails" I mentioned in the video in 2D sonar.
