This made me tear up! I can't believe how fast kids grow up. I think Brailee will do great in middle school and high school but it is sad, as an adult, because she isn't a kid anymore and she's only going to grow up from here. I understand now why kids think adults are crazy when they say that because, duh of course you're going to grow up....but you're going to GROW UP lol. Childhood goes by so quickly and I think more so for girls somehow. My mom and I have always been very close, like you guys and I will say that the changes in our relationship have been fun. There are definitely difficult times, but I love having my mom as my friend now, sometimes I do still miss her being the mom in charge and me being little, but what we have now is so amazing. I'm happy you guys will get to experience that. Happy Birthday Brailee, I hope it was amazing and stay little for as long as you can. Sappy things aside, Kayli, I LOVE everything about your hair.

As a junior in high school now, the one regret I have about middle school is how much I stressed about homework, grades, etc. High school grades are what is actually going to affect your future, middle school is about learning and having fun. Trust me, enjoy it.

The phone thing is a difficult one! I completely agree, there's way too much online nowadays. I shared one with my mum until I was 16 and it worked really well! We weren't allowed them at school and we didn't have many breaks during the day- we'd hang out with friends during school hours if we did have a break. But if I did need it then she'd use her old one and I'd use hers... I think I'll do that with my kids one day! It was a great way to have my independence but ease into the phone thing, although I know each person is different and times change too! x

Emily Danielle very great idea but depending on what phone plan they have you have to have Internet and all that on the plans, or you'd be charged extra. Now if they do have internet you can have parental restrictions and all but I wish I could even go back to the basic talk and text and that's it
