Looked at the description and engine details after I saw the 900+ run. Yup, Kasse. If it's a Boss, and it's pumping out close to 1k hp on pump gas, NA... it's gotta have a pair of Kasse heads on it. That guy is a genius

Awesome video mate..my favorite bit is when it is warmed up in the dyno cell you can really hear that lumpy idle, sounds super sweet at 7000+rpm.... well done.

Don Kirn built a Rodeck block, ALL PRO heads 427 SBC that made 1005hp NA with a single 4150 carb 30 yrs ago. Probably cost 1/4 of this engine.

Jon Kasse & his Team built up a BBF 598 cu inch on pump gas . HP 1108 & TQ 924 all on pump gas . No Tunnel Ram. Had a TFS Manifold & a race carburetor with his SR71 Heads ... not these Boss Heads ... 😅

BBC never made a head that could compete in the same class as the boss head. If BBC is the king, it's just in your chevy circle.

@@Robert-mn8gc I had a pair of SR71 but unfortunately they did not clear my Mach 1 bonnet due to the china wall spacer - I’m very familiar with his 598 build and I know it’s not actually on pump gas (maybe USA have a different meaning for pump gas) but here in Aus you can’t run pump gas on 12-1+ compression 🧐 But compared to a chev no comparison - yes BBC make 1000+hp but not at 11-1 compression I’m happy for someone to prove me wrong but it just means they built a great motor 🤗

WOw is that a side oiler i see on the left side of the head & right side as well, coming out of the sump with AN stainless steel lines as well. If so thats massive to think its a NA engine as well, thats a lot of power from a NA engine and with pumped fuel as well. Well done to all the dandy engines team you guys are the best in the World when it comes to Hi performance engine combos, love to see a Dart 427 done up with the same amount of power or better still a good hemi big block with over 1,000 hp NA, cheers 🦘🦘✌✌ Now it needs a good powerglide to marry up with it and a 4,55 hi stall readly for the drags for sure ,based on the torque values ,she will hook up right on if the rear end is done right and a powerglide is used with 4:11 gear set in a 9" diff, plus the right rear end set up for the drags, this will be a beast for sure ,cant wait to see it in a car at the drags.🦘🦘✌✌

@@7071t6 hi thanks 🤩not sure what you mean side oiler? The lines coming out of the head are oil drain back lines, I’m having these changed to hard lines and having fittings welded into the sump for a more direct set up, the heads are so big they just like to collect oil 😂 I have a built TH400 to go behind it 👌and trick diff but my gears are much taller 3.250 I’m very happy with the figures 🥳 Dandy done a great job 👏

Ford 385 series motor ala 429 and 460 with boss heads looks a lot like a Ford Edsel ala 427 428 with SOCH heads. This is a 385 series. Ford made even more big blocks over 500cubes for trucks.
