They secured an exception from the FAA to keep building 767 only in freighter form and only for domestic flights. The aircraft does not meet the CO2 and noise emissions standards anymore. While there are some good reasons behind the exception, this is practicalIy a dead platform with reduced operational and sale value due to the restrictions. The production will stop by 2033.
@jantjarks79462 күн бұрын
The US Air Force, like all US Forces, isn't included in CO2 emission reduction targets, thus the KC-46 is still built. The exception for the freighters is on a national level, which often is enough for the operators but obviously limits the flexibility of the platform. It's like the newer COMAC planes, which are only certified in China themselves (so far).

3:27 No, the door blowout was NOT an isolated incident. It was an incident resulted from systematic failure of Boeing’s production. They found numerous more issue with the plug doors on other 737 as well. It’s pure luck that nothing happened to those planes yet. This is far from being an isolated issue.

Boeing would do well to take advantage of AI and automation. Should have tie-ups with Palantir and Anduril. Of course, with Lockheed. They should become ambitious and go back to their glory days. They should learn from SpaceX and collaborate more with Elon Musk.

@Jack3md19 сағат бұрын
following the lockdowns and the MAX crashes, the FAA has required so much more testing and documentation and data for the certification of new aircraft which is the reasoning behind why it has taken so long. The MAX 7 and 10 should be certified already, but the new engine anti-ice issue caused the FAA to not agree and wanted a fix before certifying those aircraft. Even though the MAX 8 and 9 are already certified without that anti-ice fix, which doesn’t really make much sense.

While that's true, it's a little early for Airbus to become complacent. Things like that shouldn't happen. Btw., everything is fine with Boeing, keep doing what you are doing and the solution for the whole situation will come in by itself. ...one way or the other. 😉

The 777-300 is back? I’ll be honest it’s a horrendously outdated plane by now and I wonder who actually wants it to the point Boeing will keep making it ? The 777X will be a good replacement

No the 777-300 is not back. Also, horrendously outdated? Seriously? They just stopped delivering most of the 300ER’s several years ago. Most of the 777-300ER’s currently with airlines are not that old
