Here’s my Berrics take: They’ve sold out. Commercialized skating and there’s no benefits to anyone other than the their personal bank account. If the goal was to get widespread endorsement and higher pay for team riders both pro & am I could respect going mainstream. Skateboarding was ridiculed and mocked for over 5 decades. I know a dude who's a bit like those slappy bros. Like, he'll always go for a trick on the ledge immediately after I do, so if you bail you have to get out of the way real fast or he'll run into you. He'll do this even if we're the only ones at the park, and also seems to, whether consciously or not, just have to block the path to the same ledge riding back so everyone has to look at the flat trick he'll try before going for the ledge themselves.
