Cariuma anecdote: I was skating with a guy who turned up to the park in Cariumas, then immediately took them off and skated some proper shoes. When I mentioned that it was the first pair I'd actually seen in the wild he told me that Jamie Griffin (who he's friends with) gave them to him because they won't stop sending him shoes no matter how many times he tells them he doesn't want to wear them. Apparently they gave him 6 pairs last month, all of which he gave away or sold to random people. The whole thing is so corrupt it's wild.

Seems Tampa just let them buy their way in there too. My guess with the Freddy Gall video, is that he had got his account held hostage - the people who had control asked him to record a video, either of him saying random stuff or asking for it back. They then used that clip to train an AI to create a version of his voice to say whatever they wanted and overlaid it on the video you showed. It's easier to deepfake voices than it is to deepfake video, especially when you're trying to pull a fast one.
