She is a rare bird there were only a few built to begin with and some of them were scrapped during ww2 she is a absolute MONSTER of a locomotive. Built right here in the USA 🇺🇸 by AMERICANS who CARED! 🥔

WOW… that was a WAY cool video and I bet amazing in person. There is another one of those survivors on display at the National Train Museum in Green Bay Wisconsin and they let you climb into the engineer controls… so many gauges and bobs to control the beast of a Steam engine. Looks so heavy you feel like it could sink through the floor. Did I hear correctly that they built these heavy monsters so they could maintain traction carrying heavy loads through the mountains?
