Around 8:25, there's a guy why touches the seat/butt of the guy in front. I see this a lot, but don't really understand what it's about. Is it essentially just a lazy way of breaking or is it more for situational awareness or signalling a team mate?
@chrisgomez11593 жыл бұрын
I see these power number but how would they fair against a team like legion here in the states?🤔
@bam05053 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t be pretty. Netherland and Belgium breeds “big” guys / girls (cycling standards) with very high power like MVP and Wout. Also pretty aggressive in general. There are a couple videos of good pro US teams like Elevate that go there. Just tough when you have a team of mostly 65-75kg riders compete against 80-90kg with 400+ FTP. Maybe throw in some long hills and it would be interesting. Perhaps not apples to apples since not sure how good this team is in the area vs legion with a national champ. But Europe in general is just better...😪
@gln6663 жыл бұрын
@@bam0505 Justin williams actually raced in the Netherlands when he was a u23 rider. Trainerroad had him in one of their podcasts. In my opinion you cant really compare us racing with europe style racing as the coures and circumstances are completely different. Think Legion does a great job in the us scene, i dont think it even bothers them how they would fair in europe. And if an europe guy would race the us-scene, it would be the same the other way around.
@alexdoessports3 жыл бұрын
The Netherlands is F1 and the USA is Nascar if you compare with car racing.
@bam05053 жыл бұрын
@@gln666 yeah agree. Justin is a great rider and very likely making more than ever with all the sponsorships. Think that’s why his younger brother moved to Legion instead of Europe. I’m just saying when you compare the US National champ and Dutch (MVP) the country is just at another level
@michaeloluokun94883 жыл бұрын
Legion has superior team tactics, can maintain 33+ mph unlike here in the late 20s and giving the Conti guy time to attack(same as last video). Also, Justin and Cory can hold 1900watts, 60+ kph sprint for up to 15 secs. However, Dutch crit roads are way too narrow and would be unusual for Legion.
