Anyone else simply despise Derek F in the last few episodes. He treated Azah like his sidekick and continually beraded her, saying she was crazy to think that she did anything for herself during the game. Big Delusional thought that he carried Azah to final 3 and made Azah feel terrible during her last week there, and Big D didn’t care. He’s a jerk and did nothing gamechanging during the game.

My problem with the season was that such a great cast was wasted with predictable gameplay and people not playing for themselves. Tiffany/Hannah for example got rid of their closest allies (Claire/DX) for the cookout alliance and then they ended up being the first two cookouts to go. I hope for next season to have unpredictable and cutthroat gameplay and individually-driven moves instead of big alliances coasting again.

Here's a twist idea: HOH goes as normal, two people are nominated. However, there's a randomly selected secret HOH that nominates two other people. The acting HOH has to pick one of their original nominees, but also one of the secret HOH's nominees. This wouldn't happen every week. This would probably not do much, but it has the potential to break a lot of friendships and create good TV drama.

I'm okay with big alliances succeeding as long as the players in the alliance are doing what is best for their game. The Cookout alliance only prevented people from playing the game normally which just made everything pointless. This season was like that one reward challenge from Survivor: San Juan del Sur where Jeff stopped it early because all of the remaining players didn't care who won, and were openly talking about who they were going to give the reward to. At that point it didn't matter how the rest of the challenge played out because the result would be the same either way.

A few changes they could make to shake up the game, 1. Change almost all the competitions, only leaving 2-3 classics. 2. Don’t reveal the vote count on eviction night. Just state the name of the houseguest evicted. That way “voting with the house” can’t be a strategy. 3. Once pre-jury and once post-jury have all the houseguests compete in HOH anonymously. Nobody knows who it is. 4. Do a double eviction taking it from 5 to 3 houseguests. (Those weeks are HORRIBLE to watch and drag the game) 4. Maybe even cut a week/two weeks out of the game totally. Everyone gets end of season exhaustion and even the CBS schedule gets squeezed, causing weird rescheduled episodes the last few weeks.

My ultimate review is this is a very low tier season. It was good strategy that wasn't fun to watch - every week past week 1 was extremely predictable and the big alliance never struggled or had their power questioned. While they didn't get every HOH their will was done every week, there was no counter-alliance gaining power, and it ended with a number of boring people making it to the end because people weren't playing individual games. Congrats to the cookout on achieving their mission. May future seasons be more exciting.

Cookout kinda sucks to watch. They aren't bad people or competitors but it's like a game of tug of war when the other side only gets to send out one player at a time. All I wanted was a season that was better than 22/All Stars 2. For "The most/second racist season" , "the Cookout are criminals," "there's gonna be a race war....," and yet, I got what I wanted. So, let's talk about the cast, drama, the "controversial" dominate alliance, and the future. *The Cast* The saving grace of the season. The new BB12 and BB16. Telegenic, likeable, had personality, and heck, were diverse in thought/appearance and personality without being dicks to one another. Heck, props to all the women for winning at least one comp this season. That's a first. Travis: doing nothing wrong and falling to a domino of chaos and giving into the first boot clothes stripping, Frenchie: having one of the most memorably worst HoH's and predicting the season, Brent: showing a semblance of strategic potential only to get blindsided and targeted to his massive ego Whitney: having the balls to wear that kind of sports bra in public without a damn in the world and supporting her fellow women even after she was eliminated and calling out Derek F and Kyland's behavior, Christian: being a top contender and the anti-Jack jock only targeted because of his athletic prowess. Britini: emotional: yes: yet had heart, drive, and called Kyland a b**** while being a energetic bundle of joy in and out of the house, Derek X: being the second favorite houseguest, growing in potential regardless of naivety. Sarah Beth: the most adorable anti-villain, essentially the antithesis of Nicole A in BB21 and 22 who's nursery rhymes won't be forgotten, Claire: the superfan who had the emotional maturity to handle her eviction with grace and broke the fourth wall with just how much, Alyssa: what we all wanted from Analyse without any of the slut shaming. Then the Cookout members themselves: the biggest "take that producers for not having better casting." Tiffany: overrated to some, but the next Matt Hoffman: the head of the master plan with a more evolved strategy, and also suffered the same fate while being a fun character in her own right. Hannah: the second in command, the sweet strategic second in command, heartbreaking elimination. Kyland: a condescending jerk, easily a top player, manipulator, who could've won the game had it not been for his massive ego, pride and lack of self awareness. Azah: too passive, almost would've became a top 2, probably would've ended up a bottom tier winner but hey: she made it through her social bonds. "Cooked, cleaned and slept their way to final 4" Derek F: delusional at times, misogynistic, his laughs and love for momma being his only saving grace and entertaining in all the right and wrong ways to get to the end. And Xavier: the dry witted, and all rounder player who took the opportunities that fell into his lap, planning small moves that netted him the move. A decent winner for a decent winner. *The drama* It wasn't explosive till Kyland's boot...memory but also messed up to watch. But it was emotional. Frenchie causing chaos that the other players picked up the pieces, Brent's behavior getting him the boot, the Christian blindside, Kyland pissing off all his alliance members to keep SB in and target Britini to Azah's ire, Hannah, Tiffany, Azah & Big D, and Xavier breaking down from having to vote out their more closer allies in the game, TIffany getting the misogynist behavior in her alliance for saving Claire only for Alyssa to win the veto and forcing her to vote out her closest ally, Hannah begging not to go while all but Xavier mocked her, would Derek F cut Azah or Kyland in the end, Azah almost making a 700,000 mistake. *The Cookout themselves* Having the balls to make Allison Grodner fuming from losing her favorites at the get go takes guts. And props to them: BB Facebook and some of BB Reddit rants isn’t coming true. They took the metagame of modern Big Brother and proved when the deck is equal, they’ll thrive. Instead of struggling to survive alone. And before BB12, this wasn’t a problem. So why would they “break the game” despite Derrick L and arguably the Brigade doing the same first? Danielle and Kevin almost won their seasons, Candice and Howard did not deserve to be in a house that toxic with members claiming they had no merit to being there, Amber shouldn't have had to deal with Caleb, Dominique being treated as a social pariah (heck I'd throw Bridgette for how cliquey that cast was dealing with her), Kemi having her bathing suit stolen while she was asleep by Analyse and Christie, Jack being an insensitive douche to Kemi/Ovi/David while the Six Shooters alliance targeted their friends and allies: Kat, Jessica, Nicole. And the Committee…well most of them weren’t as bad in their behavior: but Memphis targeting David despite hating how the Jack’s treated his houseguests, Nicole F (a game move nonetheless though still messed up) making Davonne and Devin fight over a lie she caused and everyone arguing which of them were in the right, Christmas making a smart game move only to be lacking self awareness and claiming she would get shot for that when she’s a convicted felon…again, unnecessary. Contrary to popular belief, black people can make it far in Big Brother without having to talk or deal with race. For some seasons, it was just nearly impossible because their houseguests didn't allow them. Call them racist: yell from the top of the hills for talking about race…despite them never showing antagonism to anyone else while also being a minority in the house. But they came to play the game, and for a dominant alliance, they were enjoyable to watch as people....most of the time, and they played hard. If that's racism to some people, then you're entitled to that opinion despite the evidence to the contrary. And no, Sarah Beth isn’t racist either for trying to Hannah out. That was judged on her as a game player. They didn't win as many comps as the Brigade but used an evolved version of their strategy, they considered turning on each other like the Scamper Squad several times but held firmer to get everyone to the end, they weren't toxic like Paul's cult even though the men in Kyland and Derek F need huge self-awareness on ego/misogyny/credit giving, they weren't dicks like the Six Shooters and Grateful nor alienated people with passive aggressive high school fakeness, and unlike the Committee, they didn't win 99% of comps…or played face to America while half the members mocked someone for having autism. And the first dominant alliance to not lose anyone till the end. Could it get boring. On a surface level, yes. But much like how people got through BB16 and 19 for how impressive Derrick played and to wonder if Paul's control would be a foregone conclusion, how they maneuvered through the game was fun to watch. They didn't treat people like dicks in the house like 19, and 4 out of the 6 members contributed more than just Derrick handing out orders and everyone just falling for him. And in the end, it led to a decent season. It was a season of good gameplay with a strong cast meets self destructive gameplay, emotions, and while it was a steamroll, it was a unique steamroll that hurt the players in the house on a game level, but made everyone who came out of it as decent people. It's a mid-tier season. People will disagree, yelling racism to the end of the hill. But in the end, this season gave us something to talk about, and I got want I wanted: something much more fun with BB22 with players not rolling over to die despite the odds. *So what happens next?* Well only 3 members of the cast are coming out as hateable, a lot of the cast are still friends with one another and there wasn't a race war in sight, most fans want members of this cast to come back for some Early Boots, Second Chance, or, Heroes vs Villains, heck even BB24. So what needs to be done for BB24? The Cookout did what they had to do, now the casting just needs to go even more all out with its cast: more superfans, recruits who are eager to learn and don't keep showing them BB16, get people who are alliance hunters, who want to cause telegetic chaos that doesn't push it too far. We need comps that force people to want to backstab one another, turn on each other, reward players with prizes and punishments: maybe affect the prize pool, more unique comps, twists that don't break the game that the dominant alliance can't exploit, more opportunities to make the players feel like people on the episodes, other comps that test the player's bonds and mental endurance, less comps for the athletic types to win, we've had 5 seasons in a row with beefy dudes and dudette winning, change it up. But that's my take. And I'm at peace. A decent season with good gameplay, a dominant alliance that didn’t suck the joy out it, and a top tier cast. Celebrity Big Brother 3 and Big Brother 24, here we come.

Season 23 was unfortunately one of my least favorite Big Brother viewing experiences, because there was this overwhelming sense of sadness watching the season slowly crawl to its inevitable conclusion. Seeing the six Cookout members not be able to play in the way they wanted or even compete for the win, and the other ten contestants barely having a chance because of an alliance and mission completely out of their control made me feel as if the game I have loved my whole life was gone. I want to see people be ruthless, cutthroat, and selfish to win, so a season full of house target after house target never intrigued me. Even the drama about what non-Cookout member would be eliminated next just felt manufactured, because clearly the mission was too strong for the meaningless drama to actually change the course of the season. Overall, this will go down as my least favorite season of the 22 regular seasons of Big Brother because the game was not allowed to be normally played due to the mission of the Cookout. Although the cookout is a masterful alliance I'm worried about what it's legacy will be. As of right now people keep track of the ratio of guys to girls because of previous all guys/girls alliances. My review: One of the best pre-juries ever, one of the worst post-juries ever. As soon as the HoH was won we knew who was going home, unless that person won veto in which case we knew who the backup target was and they went home. The target was never flipped on the HoH, there was never insurrection within the majority. After the dust of Frenchie's first week settled it was one of the least entertaining seasons ever, although that is partially because of how tight the gameplay was, usually the best moves aren't the sexy "Dan's Funeral" moves that work one in a million times, it's formulating a plan and executing, so I can't knock people like X and Tiffany for that. With that said it's bottom half for me for sure, I probably have it in a category with BB12, BB13 and BB16, neither of which I'm particularly fond of. It's not as bad as 1, 9, 19, 21, and 22, but all the entreating people were gone way too early. Sorry but the endgame being Kyland's passive aggression, Derrick F's bad attitude, and Azah's blandness, I think what should be the best and most exciting part of the game turned into a game between Ky and X of whoever cut the other's throat wins. That's why I have it in the realm of seasons with seasons that were dominated by majority alliances that had varying level of exciting casts, but ultimately boiled down to one group of players far outclassing most of the rest (aside from 13 that is unrelated in this way, I just don't have any other group to put it in).

I feel like this season was kind of a necessary evil. The mistreatment of minorities on Big Brother, specifically black contestants, basically forced the Cookout not to deviate from the alliance. The Cookout was bigger than each of their individual games and they were aware of that, and that caused them to play for the cause instead of for themselves. Extremely noble, but also makes for a pretty boring viewing experience on this kind of program. Hopefully, now that that glass ceiling of “first black winner” has been broken, we can see black houseguests, and really all houseguests who belong to a minority group, that are able to play individually as themselves and not feel pressured to play a certain way because of CBS’s crap decisions throughout the years.

1) Having the HOH has run it course.... the good players have figured out that all you need to do is manipulate just one player each week to be safe as compared to Survivor (post merge) you have to manipulate as many as 9, 10, 11 people.... a much harder and interesting task. Get rid of the HOH, have a single immunity.... this should get rid of the team game concept. When 10 people are at risk of going home as compared to 2, this would make the sparks fly in the house 2) While they have change the cast, they did not change the personalities. We do not have real world people that people can relate to like in the early seasons. The early seasons were good at casing opposites. Loud vs quiet; religious vs non-religious; young vs older; ect ect ect. Now all you have is a bunch of people that are (or inspire to be) models, actors or IG influencers

I kind of like that idea. Sort of a modified version of how the nominations work on most international versions of BB, with the HGs nominating two people in the Diary Room. Here’s how it could be adapted for the more strategy-based format of BBUS: 🔘 HGs compete for immunity each week instead of HoH. This HG would be immune from nomination and eviction as well as any punishments (like slop), but perhaps as an added challenge is also not eligible to play for the Veto. 🔘 The other HGs nominate two HGs in secret in the Diary Room. HGs are not allowed to discuss who they are nominating before the nominations take place. 🔘 The two HGs with the most nominations go on the block. 🔘 The two nominees and four other players selected by random draw play for the Veto. 🔘 The Veto holder is not only safe from eviction and can take themselves off the block if nominated, they also *get to name the replacement nominee*. 🔘 The live vote and eviction proceeds as usual. 🔘 Also, I’d suggest getting rid of the F4 Veto entirely and end the Veto at the F5. Instead, have the person who wins immunity at the F4 select one HG to save, and then the other two compete for their spot in the F3. This is pretty much like the F4 firemaking challenge from Survivor. And although I don’t like it very much for Survivor, I think it would be more compelling a competition for Big Brother (especially since once the F4 Veto winner is known over the live feeds, it takes much of the suspense out of the ensuing eviction). It has become too much about “what the HoH wants”, which takes a lot of the suspense out of the voting. I don’t know what they’d do with the HoH room if they get rid of the HoH, but it’s worth trying.
@baldcattle833 жыл бұрын
I think they can make simple changes that will change the game. 1. The winner of the HOH also wins 10k..... maybe we will see people stop throwing them as much and money creates jealously. 2. The Veto winner gets to name the replacement nominee... again less people will try to throw the comp and there is the strategies of possible blindsides or them saving them self and making someone else mad. This may also make the HOH have to campaign for who goes home after the veto ceremony if there is a replacement. 3. Stop revealing the vote count to the house. This one is easy, it will stop the 'vote with the house' mentality. This may help players with campaigning to stay.

BB23 was the most racist and contrived season in BB history. CBS tried so hard to make a black person win. A season or two before they had a white guy trying to lead the black players to a win. It was a disaster. The only way they could force it was to make half the cast black and have them form an alliance based on skin color and then have them target the other players based on skin color. The very definition of racism. I stopped watching the season when that happened and have not watched BB since. I had quit the show once before after the season when Evil Dick won because he was disgusting. I didn't watch for several years, but did finally return. This season, BB23, ended my watching of BB forever. If they went that far to rig the show for this purpose I know it will never be good again. Plus I don't trust them after seeing this kind of evil. It's an insult to black people that they felt they could only get a black winner by doing this. They should have just kept casting well chosen black players until they had a real black winner. It would have been organic and everyone would have been cheering. I would have loved that!

The season was wayyy to political for me. I 100% agree with the movement of BLM. But it just didn’t feel like big brother. Hardley any backstabs, no episode like stood out to me like “wow that just changed the game!” There was also no battle back which gets me to think that CBS just wanted nobody to screw up the cookout. I watched it all the way to final 6 and I just got incredibly bored. There was less talk about game and more talk about “we did it, we’re going to have a first black winner”. I have no issue with someone black winning but don’t deny, the show repeatingly mentioning it got very old. Especially for someone who binged the show instead of watching every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. I noticed, Peridiam, you say in the video that producers have made casting decisions that might have been racially motivated. And I think you’re exactly right, from a political standpoint, this alliance dominance needed to happen to make up for those actions made by CBS. My point is, that it was unbearably boring to watch

I'm going to be completely honest. I didn't like the cookout, and I wish they were just until jury. BEFORE YOU COME AFTER ME WITH PITCHFORKS, HEAR ME OUT. 1. I totally respect and understand why they were formed and yes, what they did was amazing and completely deserved. 2. With that said. Why couldn't the cookout just have dissolved come jury?! We probably would've had a ton more drama and a lot more strategy, and honestly we would've likely ended up with a final four of Tiff, Chaddah, Claire and DX (Tiff 99% wins here, which honestly I think is a much better outcome than what we got.) 3. The other thing is that no other player in the house could ever voice any real suspicions they had about the cookout because they knew that people would want their heads on a platter if they did so. To me, that's just kind of unfair. 4. KEEP IN MIND THAT I COMPLETELY RESPECT AND AM HAPPY FOR THE COOKOUT, THEY 10000% DESERVED THEIR VICTORY (except maybe DF, he was kind of just there...)

This was a really weird season for me. I found the cast pretty likable overall, and that may have saved it from being really low for me, but there were several things about the season that were disappointing to me. The BB Bucks twist definitely fell flat, and the only thing the Coin of Destiny twist really did was prevent Claire from winning the Final 8 HOH. I also still think it is baffling that nobody outside the Cookout was ever able to pick up on the alliance before they were evicted. It just doesn't make sense to me as a viewer, and I don't think the show really showed why the Cookout was such a great alliance, despite some of the members not really liking each other too much. Also, while I think it is nice that we finally have an African American winner, I wish the Cookout wasn't so determined to get every member to Final 6. If they wanted the first African American winner to be a deserving one, they shouldn't have kept Big D or Azah, because it was so clear that they were likely locks for the final 2. Finally, I do believe that Xavier is a good winner overall, but it felt like a lot of his win just fell into his lap from other houseguests making poor individual gameplay decisions, including Tiffany and Kyland. The final three of the season was just really goofy to me.
@DVal-bl7hm3 жыл бұрын
Also, I know the Cookout is not racist, per se, but I think a lot of people interpret "racism" differently and are going to look at this season the wrong way. I fear that now that an alliance based on skin color and racial backgrounds has essentially become the most dominant alliance in BB history, subsequent seasons of the show will try to make decisions that will prevent a repeat alliance from succeeding in the same fashion, leading to even greater levels of racism in the future. It almost makes me feel like the show needs to be abolished.
@larrythecableman69633 жыл бұрын
@@DVal-bl7hm I agree. That’s the thing that pissed me off all season. Larry don't kid yourself about what you're mad about the CO. The game has always been dominated by a racialized alliance. For me, the problem of this season is that people were not doing things for their best interest and playing for themselves to win. I think we're being too hard on the season. A lot of coments are basically "the cast was likable but the gameplay was boring", which to me sells it really short. Bullet points: -The Cookout was the dominant alliance, but a fascinating one. They weren't white people coming together out of commonality and feeling high and mighty about their gameplay. but a complex web of relationships that didn't necesarily agree or see eye to eye everytime. -Everyone in the cast brought something to the table, and most left an actual mark on the gameplay by winning a competition that changed course. More than any other season, this really felt like a cast or a group, not just people living together (altought fuck the sexism that came out during the first and last weeks). -The worst recurring problem of 23 is how the target was locked after the veto ceremony. This makes the current week feel like a drag, but the players were already thinking about next week, they weren't sitting still and waiting till thursday. -There weren't confrontations, but it had levity and emotions baked into each and every week. If you want fights, there are plenty on season 15 and 19 for you to enjoy. -Tiffany (and to an extent Hannah) leaving hurt the endgame, but it kind of took a turn as being unfair. Tiffany was amazing to watch (really deserved AFP), but as a player, you have to get her out. Ky pulled the trigger too early, but for Azah, Derek and Xavier was what made the most sense. To be mad at them for evicting her is ridiculous. Overall, i think this a top 10 season, and by far the best in the last few years. It would have been cool for the CO to be pressed harder, or for Tiff to take it home, but it gave memorable houseguests, interesting and complicated gameplay, more diversity than ever, and a historic run and win.
@mgm80753 жыл бұрын
We have to stop lumping Hannah in with Tiffany just because she was Tiff's sidekick. Tiff carried Hannah and the majority of Hannah's game relied heavily on Tiffany's social game. Hannah was pretty forgettable in terms of actual gameplay. She didn't do much besides help Tiff strategize.

I also have BB23 ranked at 13th among the BBUS seasons! I absolutely loved the cast. And the pre-jury was some of my favorite Big Brother in a while. But a dominant alliance sticking together and making Final 6 hurts this season, just as it would hurt any other season. I loved the Cookout members and greatly appreciated their game being for a cause. But it was also super frustrating seeing Tiffany actively choose a lesser route for her game. I can only imagine how much more entertaining the season is if Tiff sticks with The Detectives rather than switching to die-hard loyalty for the Cookout. This hurts the season quite a bit for me. As it was not only predictable, but I also had to watch somebody willingly play a lesser game than they could have played. It leads to a lot of conflict towards my feelings on the season. On my personal rankings, I actually have it at 13th directly after BB12. And the reason being that BB12’s Brigade made a move against one another at a point. Watching Hayden go after Matt because it bettered his game helps BB12 edge out BB23 for me. A solid season nonetheless, though!

It has to be in the bottom-middle for me. While we are promised a new era for the game, the only thing that was new was the cast demographics- something that was mandated by the network itself. Everything else is just the same old story. Same comps, same house breakdown, the same twists flopping over helping to destroy what could have been a very interesting season. The CookOut, while dominant, did have its fair share of criticism, mainly around the reasoning why it was formed- to crown the show's first black winner. While you can agree or disagree with that reasoning, it doesn't matter. What matters is the simplified version. The alliance was formed so that a person of a particular race wins. It was an intentional race-based alliance. It was an alliance set to make sure a person of a particular race wins. During the season, a discussion came up on a DX vs. DF final 2. Would the CO still be respected if all members voted for DF to win just to make history? I say that the CO got lucky that the season's winner is a respectable and solid player. That being said, it is just a regular big brother season with just a different coat of paint on it. Nothing really changed. Big alliance still dominated, twists flopped, same old competitions.... are we really in a new era?

Once the groups are removed and no longer keeping each other safe, they all still stick together for the most part and it just makes it kind of boring. I think it could be interesting if they (the producers) picked peole to be an alliance/group and the houseguests found out who their group members were while in the diary room and the goal was to stay a group the longest without telling anyone or any of your group getting vetoed out. Its just not a fun season that i would ever go out of my way to watch. I think its literally the least drama filled season of all time and thats just so boring to me. But people want to rate it higher than they should because of diversity in the cast, a good strategy and a strong black winner, and thats super duper and all...............but ask how many survivor fans go back to watch survivor 14. And i would rewatch that season of survivor long before i watched BB23 again. i also worry that, now that teaming up and voting based on race is 100% a confirmed and allowed strategy .....well you cant put that genie back in the bottle. What happens when a white player puts two black players up and says "gotta be weary of cookout 2.0, because even if it hasnt formed it might"? Not sure where it ranks overall but definitely mid-high tier for me. And yes looking forward to CBB3 this winter!

Low tier from me, I knew exactly what was going to happen from like week 2. Only entertaining moment of the season was Kyland leaving and being a piece of shit about it.

This is a meh season- another extremely doninant allince and it was way too predictable. Not enough drama. There was a deserving winner, but besides that it was bland so id give it a 4/10.

I actually loved this season though predictable I was intrigued each week how things would play out. To be fair I did sort of stop watching toward the end but that’s because I was bitter! I loved Tiffany and Hannah so much and for both to go out at once I never even bothered watching to DE. The only reason I watched another episode before the finale was Ky’s exit. This season was great but it hurt to see good players go out way too early, watching Tiff betray her own game for the cookout hurt. Derek X, Claire, Tiff, and Hannah all should have gotten better placements. I didn’t mind Xavier won he’s one of the better winners but to win against big D… he could have done better. The worst part honestly was the episode editing… there are so many parts skipped or twisted it was a different show than what live feeds showed. Overall top 10 seasons for me but it was extremely frustrating most of the time.

I just feel like the Big Brother 23 cast seem so disingenuous. If anything it shows they are smart but every single cast member seems during season and after in jury and after the show interviews to be constantly playing things up for the cameras. And care way to much about what the fan base thinks of them. Every one of em seem way to fame whorish. Which is a turn off.

Honestly this season would’ve been better without the Cookout alliance, considering most of them didn’t even like each other. I get why it was important, but think about how fluid the season could’ve been without it. Tiffany also has a better chance at winning without it.

Every season could’ve been better without the major alliance lol..BB22, BB20, BB21, BB16, etc.
@a.jdeets55273 жыл бұрын
@@Jakeexmvs The difference between those major alliances and the Cookout is they actually liked each other. The only dominant alliance in BB23 was the Cookout because most of the cast were there to play. Xavier has no chance in hell of winning without the Cookout steamroll.
@Jakeexmvs3 жыл бұрын
@@a.jdeets5527 I still don’t know if that would be the case. This cast was very kumbaya with one another, none of them were confrontational. Closest we got was Ky vs X and Tiff vs Big D.

the best big brother twist would be if u work with anyone u get expelled from the game it would straight ruin every attempt for big alliances to be a thing and lets be real watching people try and work together and then get expelled would be hilarious
@justdaved86383 жыл бұрын
They should implement a really crazy twist....no twist, hint at it all season long, tease it, make them think its going to be something crazy that is insane, but never drop it. Get the hamster's on edge, make them paranoid. Drive them nuts. That is how to make Big Brother good again.

Honestly, outside of the cast and the pre jury, I can only place it in low mid tier because of just how much everything was the same. Recycled comps Recycled dominant alliance Recycled twists Predictable Jury Disappointing Double Boring Finale Predictable Winner And just everything else. I cannot believe they have the audacity to say “It’s a new era” and shove “First African American winner” in our faces for the last 3rd of the game. It’s really big propaganda signals showing that nothing has really changed. It didn’t help that the most loved people were evicted earlier and Kyland and Derek F overstayed their welcome by too much. Seriously, the most disappointing thing about this season is rewarding a player who did absolutely nothing, and won 75k. AND ON TOP OF THAT, not take any accountability. I think the whole drama between an all black alliance is ridiculous on Facebook, but if there’s a counter argument to be made, or two tbh. Is that 1. TAMAR WAS FIRST AND NO ONE BOTHERED TO MENTION HER. 2. Making an alliance purely because of race is just… not right in general, even if their motives are justified. Race should never become such a huge factor in making alliances, seasons, nominations, or anything else on Big Brother. It only causes controversy, especially when The Cookout’s main purpose was to do just that. It’s kind of like forcing history to happen, and I only worry that future seasons will mimic the formula and just cause even more controversy… That being said, Xavier did deserve to win even outside of The Cookout’s purpose. So many things were improved from what the previous 2 seasons did, and it’s a step in the right direction, but there’s still more to be done
@HeavyMetal-jy4vj3 жыл бұрын
Good overall post. I feel like guaranteed if they ever did this with any other race it would go the same way and again it would be perfectly justified and boring to watch lol
@RoyalKingOliver3 жыл бұрын
@@HeavyMetal-jy4vj I do like to note that statistically African Americans have done worse (excluding this season) however they are the most represented minority group despite Hispanics and Latinos being a larger percentage of the US population. Then again, Latinos from the few statistics they have, have done at least slightly better. While Asian Americans… well let’s just let Jun take the spotlight for that :/
